This book may not be the final authority as a conservative reading lists goes, however for a beginner locating this earlier would have saved purchasing & reading a number of books currently in the book case. Naturally, I would like to have discovered it sooner.
The books listed are from the areas of conservative thought on Economics, Statesmanship, Religion (though not decidedly evangelical), American History, Totalitarianism, World History, World Politics, Public Policy, Political Culture, Unconventional Thought and Literature.
I would consider myself a lover of books and mainly of these very subjects so I was very happy to find many that I had not heard of. If you are one that doesn't like to read from the liberal perspective because your heart can't take it here is a gem of book.
That is what I am hoping to find with this book. Just know that there are liberals out there that aren't complete bleeding hearts. I want to have respect for the right, but the current state of media makes that EXTREMELY difficult to do. And don't get me wrong, the left is just as sensational and messed up as the right. Finding thoughtful literature out there now of days is like finding a needle in a shitstack.
