In preparing our children for college and life after, we often don't spend enough time on ensuring and teaching financial literacy. If you do research around college/high school students around financial literacy, historically, I have found there are not many sound high school or college curriculums around personal finances. Whether you are a parent, guardian, aunt, uncle or mentor, we are responsible to ensure our children have the right tools to be success with their finance from college and beyond.

Real Money Answers: College life and Beyond is an excellent tool that families should read and discuss together. I love how Patrice laid out the book, starting with mindset and then moving to goal setting and execution of your financial plan. The book teaches us the foundation knowledge we need to be successful in all areas of finance. Thank you Patrice for writing such an awesome book. My first copy is going to my nephew who is heading off to college next week. Additionally this will be a part of my birthday/Christmas gift to all young people in my family & mentees!

I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised by all of the knowledge and tips in the book. I didn't expect to learn so much about money (especially since I am out of college). Patrice has covered ALL bases of what you need to know while in college and frankly for adults who just didn't get the basics about finance while in college. This book is amazing for college students. I wish I would have learned the stuff in the book while I was actually going through college. I wouldn't have made as many mistakes.

I got it for my sister in college and had to get one for myself as well. My sister couldn't put the book down the first 2 hours she got it (and you can imagine for a college student who has massive text books and test to study for) that leisurely reading is something that doesn't happen. I'm sure it helped that the book was an easy read. The question and answer format makes it a breeze for anyone looking for QUICK but real money answers.

I recommend this to any and everyone wanting to know about budgeting, credit cards and more. This easy to understand book is it! College or not!

This was an easy to understand and PRACTICAL guide to financial literacy. It's broken down into different subject matter sections so you can skip to the section that interests you most if you wanted. It can be read by many different age groups and helps provide a deeper understanding of what it means to practice being financially savvy. Even for those of us who thought we knew a thing or two about finances, we'll find tons of useful tips and mindset switches to inspire us. A painless read.

I wish I applied this budget information during my undergraduate college career. The basic information is easy to comprehend and apply. Her book and blog suggestions are amazing. The worksheets are easy to follow and incorporate into your life.

A great book. I'm sending it to school with my little brother who is starting his freshman year of college this week. I don't remember learning any of this stuff in a structured course in simple to read terms when i was in college. This book is right on time for new college students and it is full of pointers for me (I've been out of college for 9 years)
