Awesome keyboard to type on despite looking so plain. From the moment I opened it from the box, I could tell that this keyboard was built for its functionality. Even then, the off white/grey color scheme, looks awesome on any workspace.
The silencing is what makes this keyboard unique- there is no clackidieclack noise you would get from typing on a normal Dell keyboard. It is definitely awesome for quiet environment, and the typing noise is super nice to hear. (thothothothothothothotho)
The pricing on the keyboard was actually low compared to other realforce series. Even then, I know that 99 percent of the people who sees this would think it's hard to justify a price of over 200 dollars for just a keyboard. I have been using a keyboard like this for the last five years (Realforce 87U 45g), and it was one of the most reliable keyboard I have come to use. Not only was its condition remain superb through those years, I sold it for about the same price I got the keyboard. These keyboards retain their values like no other PC related peripherals.
That said, this keyboard is definitely worth it, and it is one of the best you can buy for yourself if you spend a lot of time in front of a computer. And for those of you who are more familiar with Topre, this keyboard feels just like Type-S HHKB except more solid (due to plate). There is also that "tissue noise/ stepping on light layer of snow" kind of feeling, which is also inherent in Type-S HHKB. Also, I noticed that HHKB felt more snappy and its tactile bump was more pronounced ( you can feel the resistance before the rubber dome collapsing -- more strongly). But this keyboard definitely still has that soft tactility that lets you know that the key has actuated.
