Product Description
This Limited Edition Realforce is identical to the standard 87U, but with uniformly 55g weighted key switches over the entire board (The standard 87U uses 3 different key weights in an ergonomic layout). Convenient LEDs are embedded in the Caps Lock and Num Lock keys and the Caps Lock and CTRL keys are swappable and configurable using the on-board dip-switches.

Edit: This is a better keyboard than the Filco Majestouch-2, Tenkeyless, NKR, Tactile Action, USA Keyboard FKBN87M/EB2 if you're shopping around.
I purchased used from Amazon Warehouse Deals and it was damaged by the previous buyer before they returned.
-plastic clips were broken and the case was loose on one side
-feet were unbalanced and keyboard wobbled during use
-metal board didn't sit flush with the housing
-Plastic feet holding the metal board in place were snapped off (probably a drop)
-Esc key is significantly lighter compared to the rest of the keys
-However, it was fully functional and there was no damage to electronics
Amazon offered me a handsome discount if I agreed to keep it and repair it myself to which I accepted. After some modifications, the keyboard is in great condition. The only thing is the Esc key feels very light. I suspect the previous buyer might have swapped the 55g dome for a 45g one and returned it to Amazon. Still, the discount I got made this keyboard a steal.
Final thoughts: these 55g switches are amazing and I enjoy their feel and sound. I wish the keyboard case was secured with screws instead of these brittle and flimsy plastic clips. If you decide to buy from Amazon Warehouse Deals, know you are taking a risk. Check the internal housing and keys and if they are in bad shape - ask for a discount.
Anyway, I recently bought a Realforce keyboard since I wanted something a bit different from the black HHKB. Great board itself and all, but I wanted a Topre board where I could see the lettering on the keys a bit better. My first bet was the variable weight RF, which I thought wasn't bad, but I was bottoming out more than I would have liked.
Then I decided to give this little guy a spin. Same color and keycaps as my variable weight RF and boy, what a difference it's made. I'm bottoming out far less, and every key stroke just feels special. It's so hard to describe how addicting it can be to type on this very solid, tactile board, but I don't regret my purchase one bit.
All the positive reviews for this board are dead on, and I don't think I have much else new to add except to go out and experience this board for yourself. It's one of those more expensive purchases you won't regret, and if you've been looking for a great board you can stick with for the long run than this has to be it!
The 55g switches are a big change from your standard 45g ToPre switch layout which takes a bit of time to get used to, but once you do you'll end up enjoying it more as you bottom out less than you would on boards with lighter switches. The board itself has PBT caps that will last you a long time even if you use it every day unlike cheaper boards with ABS caps, and unlike other keyboards (such as the HHKB2) it has enough weight that it can be carried if you wish to use it as a mobile board, but just enough weight so that it won't slip and slide around if you bump against it. The style of the board is classic which is nice for those of us out there who enjoy high quality keyboards but don't want the ricer/gamer backlit and edgy font aesthetic.
I see myself using this board every day for the foreseeable future even though I have four other boards.
