Princess Augusta of Brabant wanted Rhogan. She offers him a fortune and lands if he would help her. He does and nothing goes right. Four years later Juliana has not forgotten Rhogan.
Now the story begins with Rhogan going to Selborne Castle just to be near Juliana.
Now the best part of the story unfolds! This is a story that should be read to understand that their love is still strong and will survive. You will not regret reading this story!!
This story proves that love truly can conquor all, and as cliche or corny as it sounds, it’s how the person lives, their kindness, and compassion reveal their true beauty not their physical appearence.
Ableism in fiction exists and often protrayed disabled characters as evil and vile intentions.
Despite this is fiction, IRL, disabled people are still treated cruelly by able-bodied indviduals.
There is a deep lesson in this beautiful short story - look past the disability, and see the beauty within. Look with empathy and not pity.
Also, not all disabled people 'suffer'. There are those with invisible disability who walk among us.
I wish it was a bit longer - that Rhogan and Julian had their HEA ending.
Rhogan de Garr was drawn to our lovely Heroine, Juliana de Nerra, but sadly, he took another path in life, that led him away from Juliana. Four years go by, and still Juliana clings to her love for Rhogan. This aspect of the story is so very special...Juliana never stops loving Rhogan; in spite of his departure, she remained steadfast in her belief that one day, he would return to her. She could not stomach the thought of being wed to
another, when she still carried a deep and abiding love for Rhogan in her heart.
Will Rhogan and Juliana manage to find each other again? Will they get their Happily-Ever-After? You must read this wonderful story to find out!
Rhoger never wanted Juliana to see him without his mask, but when he shed his mask their love was so strong that the scars were invisible.
Keep the Kleenex handy because you will need them with this sad but beautiful love story.
