Realm of Beasts is the first book in the Legend of the Nameless One series.
Final Rating: 5 Stars
Very well written, with a good plot and storyline, it is full of intrigue, in a well thought out universe.
With magic, beasts, good vs. evil and much, much, more including Ava, the snarky dragon, it is abstract at times and humorous at others, the reader is held captive in the pages right up to the very end.
The main protagonists, Citrine and Tor Lir are well defined and each have to learn to trust and work with each other to overcome the different obstacles in their path.
A captivating and fascinating read.
This amazing book not only has characters whom you immediately feel you have know well for some time, and discover that you actually care about them.
The storyline is rich and varied, set in a world I personally want to visit - maybe move to?
If you want a casual read - the sort you pick it up, read a bit and put down,
DO NOT buy this book.
Personally, I Love/Hate staying up waaay too late because I simply MUST turn the next page. Rarely have I been so engrossed so early and sustained at that level for hours.
If that is your kind of book, then you will Love and Rave about it. Yes, there is plentiful Magic and Mystery, Danger and Triumph, Joy and Anguish - and you will relish every moment of it all. My word of Honor
BUY THIS BOOK and enjoy a FABULOUS read!
If I had any less than stellar take away, I would say the book was much too short, though that did not have any impact on the pacing of the story. It moved well and the tale unfolded perfectly.
The world seemed large, but it was not really expanded on as much as I would have liked. The plot comes off like a quick one hour episode of a weekly TV show. The conflict is there and then it is neatly overcome. I would love to read a longer book by this author with a more intricate plot.
I was not really invested in the characters, but that did not bother me because the writing was so exceptional I just enjoyed reading each sentence. I read the book carefully because each line is filled with what felt like poetry and it was like a song in my mind with a harp and warm fire burning in the background. The details were precise, concise and vivid. I cannot stop complimenting the skill of this author.
If you are looking for a classical fantasy that has an epic, old world feel of 'The Lord if the Rings' this is the book.
I will be purchasing all of this authors books.

Read the first collection of books first, the background contributes lots to the tale.
