What follows is a very deep and involving system to this reaper business. James, the boss, if that's the right word, has to manage a large network of employees who work for him in different capacities, but not all is well. Normally I read quite slowly but I zoomed through this once I found the time to sit down and read it. I didn't like that it ended in what felt like too little time. I understand it is the first in a series but I wanted more. I suppose we will have to wait until the next book.
I Will be reading that and waiting impatiently until then.

Meeting Molly and Mildred is the first thing you’ll do, two sassy old women attending funerals purely for something to do. I laughed out loud at their antics, but then began to see beyond the prickle and sarcasm to something much deeper. I don’t want to give anything away in this delightful tale, but one of these old women has talents that make her special, and as I read I wanted nothing more than her success. Throw in James, the Reaper, and those he works with and you have the eclectic cast of a fascinating book.
Richmond enthralled me throughout, keeping me guessing and page turning, writing with humour, empathy, and deep warmth. This is a book that will captivate you and, like me, you will be left wanting – wanting the next book in the series, that is.
Highly recommend this!
