Another fabulous read from J.C Hannigan. A beautifully written story that will capture your heart from the very first page. Rebel Song a little more raw and emotional than the previous books so I would definetly make sure you have tissues to hand.
Ms Hannigan has such a way with the words she writes you can't help but feel such a personal connection to her amazing characters.
Becky Miller is a single mum and has endured so much in her life to get to where she is now but its made her that much stronger as a person if only she could let go of her trust issues and finally let some love into her life.
Travis Channing has been Becky's brothers best friend since they were kids he's now a famous Country music star and has an eye for the ladies, one particular lady caught his eye a long time ago.
When Becky asks him for just one night Travis cant say no to her but what happens when that one night turns into something more?
Becky and Travis' story is book 3 in the Rebel Series but each book can be read as a standalone.
Becky and Travis are characters that we have met in the previous two books and timing wise Rebel Song runs in parallel to both, but primarily to Rebel Heart (so there may be a few spoilers if you haven't read Rebel Heart and are paying attention) and we get to know them much better here. I've always liked both Becky and Travis, but that like turned into respect as well the more I got to know them here.
This book captures Ms. Hannigan's unique style and the emotions, especially's Becky's fears/concerns, jump off the page and it feels like you are right there with her. I appreciate the fact that Hannigan doesn't shy away from addressing difficult topics. There are potential triggers in Rebel Song, but they are handled with grace and from a standpoint of healing.
Becky and Travis's journey is one that I was glad to take with them, but I wasn't ready for it to end! I am hoping that Ms. Hannigan might have a little more up her sleeve for the Miller siblings.
I have been waiting for Becky and Travis' story since I started reviewing this series with Book 1. Not disappointed at all, fell in love with their quiet romance...both unsure of what the future holds, or even what they want. As always, you can tell the Author chooses her words carefully because it flows so smooth and you feel like you are right there hanging with old friends. This really filled in holes that had me dying to know from previous books, and it had a more serious tone, with a smidgen more angst because of the situation surrounding Becky ( you need to read it to find out). Hooked from page 1, loving the development of their entire relationship!! Super steamy and full of "feels". So thankful to be provided a copy to review!!
