I must admit that I haven't had a chance to read the other books in this series yet, so I'm jumping in halfway through. With that being said, I love Fate and Destiny. They are sweet, funny, they have good hearts and are very caring. Fate is little mischievous and Destiny is the planner and their mom seems pretty cool too.
I will be purchasing the other two books in this series right away so that I can get to know these girls as well as the other charcters a lot better. I loved Double Double and I know that I will love the rest of the series too!
Ms. Beasley's writing is great & I love her characters. Demons, Angels, Nephilim, Archangels, Fiends....all these wonderful creatures appear in this story.
Lex Trenton has inherited her brother's PI business, but she only deals with preternatural clients. When the Archangel Michael appears in her office, wanting to hire her to find his fiancé, Veria, she only agrees if he will help her find her brother, Damian, in return.
If you love fantasy with a smart mouthed heroine & loads of supernatural creatures, you will love this story & the Trenton Investigation Agency.
Half demon Supernatural PI Lex Trenton does a deal with a (possibly infamous) angel, to find a missing person in exchange for help finding her missing brother. Her work partner/ unrequited love Wes, sexual partner/ boy toy/ evil demon Killian and fiend friend Fi are, apparently, there to help.
I know it's good because a) there's not enough Wes b) I have no idea what just happened there at the end and c) it's way too short-- and yet I still enjoyed it. Lex is a snarky bitch, and I like that. It's good to see her doing casework, like a darker, less annoying, more conflicted Charley Davidson.
