Charming indie find

I stumbled across the trailer to this on my friend's Facebook page. The trailer was funny and the rental was only $4 so I decided to rent it. Reboot Camp was not what I expected. It's a mockumentary. I DO NOT like mockumentaries. Had I read the post, I would've known and would not have rented it. That being said, it was not bad at all. I found myself laughing a lot. Ed Begley Jr. from Bless This Mess and Lindsey Shaw from Pretty Little Liars really stood out. I cracked up whenever I saw Begley's deadpan face. And Shaw's portrayal of ditzy Maisey was spot on. I would've given this movie 3 1/2 stars because I just don't like mockumentaries but there are no half stars so I'm giving it 4 stars. There are enough trolls out there giving movies 1 star for no reason at all.

David Lipper’s Best Performance To Date!
Verified purchase
I had a BLAST watching this film!!! What happens when you want to do your own Documentary of the beginnings of starting a ‘cult’ like self-help group as an odd French Canadian Shamim-like character? Well, this film takes you through all of that! Going from a behind the scenes view to the caught on camera reality view is original, clever and super funny!!!

The cast is great and includes some well known greats. But, I really need to put a lot of focus on David Lipper who stars in this and takes you through this entire parody as two characters. His performance across the board was phenomenal. This was absolutely his best work to date! It was so much fun watching his choices!!! So much so that I started calling people I know to rent Reboot Camp immediately … it takes a lot for me to immediately want to do that.

If you’re on the fence about renting this, just do it. It’s really a lot of fun!

Quirky indie movie with recognizable talent sprinkled in
Verified purchase
I found the movie cute & quirky. I loved seeing the famous faces sprinkled in throughout the movie that I hadn't seen in awhile (Ja Rule, Shar Jackson, Todd Packer from The Office) as well as new talent. The cute blonde girl that does the worm out of nowhere actually made me laugh out loud which is hard to do!

A timely movie about cults, who knew?
Verified purchase
Have you ever wondered what would happen if you started a cult? Have you wondered what film and TV great Ed Begley Jr is up to? Are you on a seemingly never ending quest to find a movie with Chaz Bono AND Ja Rule?

Well look no further than Reboot Camp. It has plenty of laughs, including the uncomfortable "oh my god, this could totally happen" kind. So click on this handy link, sit back, laugh, and enjoy!

Mockumentary that's hits all the points of cults!
Verified purchase
Definitely a good mockumentary, really hits the points of why cults are a thing! Watched it because of David Koechner, but the whole cast was great. Would recommend for sure!

It's funny, and relevant, but mostly funny.

An amazing cast of characters from films, reality shows, and music. How did all these people get into this film? Most of them playing themselves. It's pretty crazy, and totally original. You know it's a good film when the credits are really funny too.

Don’t get the humor

The movie looked good and had a lot of funny lines like the steakhouse one but tried too hard sometimes like with the blow up doll.
