Many of the feeling that I experienced are addressed directly in the book, so you don't feel like your going crazy and losing your mind. When at times you can feel that way. It has truly helped me get stronger and stronger every day. I have been going to a therapist for the last year before reading this book, but this book helps build off everything that I've been learning about myself and my relationship. It really recaps and encompasses the whole relationship in a nutshell. It's not a warm and fuzzy book and its not impractical either, it's real text that you can apply and relate to.
I highly recommend this book!
Im still not done with my divorce but definitely this is book has help me so much to give me that extra strength (together with therapy) and not only to go through the s***ty part of divorce but prepare me as well to think about what went wrong, what can you do to improve yourself, move on, evolve and learn from the mistake. So five stars to this book!!
Both parties (the dumped and the dumper) suffer, perhaps not equally, states the author, but they both do suffer. This book is a good start towards recovery. Fisher doesn't promise that you will complete this book and feel "O, so much better." I personally still read parts of this book more than a year out of my split-up. I found it so helpful to me, I bought another one for my soon to be ex.
