I have made three outstanding purchases for my baby and this is one of them! The first and only car seat I had purchased for my baby was the Peg Perego car seat which we loved!!! It rated high in safety and was easy to use and very durable! I found myself disappointed that they did not make convertible seats and I was unsure of whether the next seat we would like as much as the Perego. But this is a GREAT carseat! My son loves it. He used to cry when we would first put him in his car seats, this one he has not fussed once in! It sits fairly high so if you have a very compact car, you may want to review the measurements. I have an Accord and it fits, but snuggly. It is plush, soft, classy looking. It is very sturdy and nothing about this seat is cheap. I have it rear facing at the moment, but in a month or two it will be turned forward facing. The seats are very soft and comfortable for the baby. I wish my car's seats were this comfortable. There is not one regret yet buying this seat!! I would recommend it 100%.

My husband and I love this car seat. After doing a lot of research when we were ready to switch our daughter out of her infant carrier, we decided on this car seat. It's German-made and has been impact tested at higher speeds than the car seats sold here in the U.S. Recaro is actually the German company who makes seats for race cars. It's super plush and comfy and has excellent side impact head pads that my daughter often just rests her head on to sleep. No floppy head and snoring because she has nothing to rest her head on. I've often looked at car seats that are sold in Wal-Marts and baby stores and every time I do that, I'm always 100% glad we got the Recaro Signo. If I had done my research before I had my baby, I would have seen that you can use this seat from infancy to 8 years old or 70 pounds and probably only had one car seat. It's definitely a good investment, especially if this is your first baby.

But of course, to be completely fair, I'll list a few of the things that weren't the greatest about the car seat, even though I like it so much.

The first was the size. We started my daughter off at about 8 months old in it, rear facing. We have a small car and this car seat is pretty bulky and big. SHE fit into it just fine, it was just putting her in and taking her out that was a hassle. I had to try really hard not to bump her head on the doorway of the car. I also had to do this weird twisting thing with my body since our car is so short and this seat is so tall lol. Once we switched the seat forward facing when my daughter turned one, it made it MUCH easier to put her in and out!

The other complaint I have is the straps. Like other reviews I read on Amazon, it rang true for us too that the straps would twist.

I had tried other car seat, some a lot more expensive. But my baby was never very comfortable in those other ones. He would cry after twenty or thirty minutes in the car. Now I can drive for two or three hours before I have to stop.

We ordered this carseat a few months ago, and we love it so much we've just ordered a second for my husband's car. (My husband actually specifically wanted this brand because they make the seats for rally race cars! :)) We have used it rear facing and just turned it around now that my son is over a year old. It is quite large, especially seems so rear facing, but my son loves being able to sit up high and look out the window. It looks very nice and feels very sturdy and safe. It's easy to clean and easy to get him in and out of it. We have a honda accord, and it fits nicely in the back seat. I highly recommend it!
