The charging docks also light up; it looks pretty cool - especially in the dark - but it's not just for show. The lights turn red while charging, and blue after charging (although a blue light does not necessarily mean a full charge). It has two charging docks, so charge two of your remotes at the same time.
In my experience, the batteries seem to last for about 12 hours, which should give you plenty of playtime. However, the batteries can still die when not in use, so even if you haven't played for a while, you might still want to charge your remotes ahead of time before you use them again.
After about a year, one of my charging docks inexplicably stopped functioning properly. It doesn't charge my remote at all. I haven't done anything to damage it; it has been sitting in the same spot ever since I got it. Oh well, I only use one remote, anyway, so at least one of the docks still works. And like I said, it didn't cost much.
I have had an Energizer and a Duracell charger in the past. both of them cost me over 25$. one of em had old bad batteries included and the other, the dock jus quit working after a few months.
so, when I found this dual charger from ECity for less than $10 I got excited. I bought it, deciding even if it wrks one month it pays for itself. granted, it doesn't match my remotes but who cares?
the batteries as the same as all rechargeable batteries: more they're doing the shorter the lifespan. for instance, turn remote volume down and rumble off; they'll last longer. we played continuously with both batteries for 4+ hours. that's perfectly good enough. also, it works. the batteries fit both my remotes perfectly and the dock charges them in a good timing. I love that it plugs in with a usb cord so I can plug it into my Wii console instead of having to use another socket.
charging is touchy. they do have to sit on the dock just right: so, if you don't know how to put pegs in corresponding holes and you cant tell the difference between red and blue then, this product isn't for you because you will not know how to charge them. but if u can fit pegs in the holes and u can tell the color difference and you know what a flat surface is to sit the dock on, then this product is for u!!!!
I love it. the price makes me love it better.
ps. it doesn't come with printed instructions. but that too, is self explainable. plug dock in with included cord; (once again, match pegs and holes)one end in the dock the other in the wii console. remove exsisting battery cover and batteries, then install the rechargeable batteries (again pegs and holes) then set em on the dock and wait for the color to change before using!

When fully charged, it holds charge for several hours.
The base of the charging station will change from red to blue when fully charged, letting you know when it's ready.
Cons: In order to charge the remotes while they are on the charging docks, the system that it's connected to has to be turned on, so you either have to leave the system running after you're done playing so that the remotes can charge, or you have to alternate the remotes to let one charge while you play with the other, if you are not needing both remotes at once.
In order to sync the remote to the Wii, you have to have like a long thin pin that can activate the sync button on the Wii remote, b/c the button is on the rechargeable battery. It can be awkward and I found this to be more tedious than with the original backs on the remotes, especially when I was going back and forth from the Wii to the Wii U, until I was able to figure out how to transfer all the stuff from the Wii to the Wii U.
But other than that, it is definitely worth the money and especially worth not having to contribute to our already overloaded garbage ridden planet!
It took a little bit of time getting used to it but I will note some things:
-The light is red when it needs charging once placed, it'll turn blue after awhile when it's fully charged. I mention this because the light does go crazy and it was confusing the first time, it may have been my PC but I had to wiggle the usb a bit for it to properly show.
-The battery packs that came with this will last about ~3hrs (a little more) max with constant usage. The wiimote disconnects and loses sync when it gets low, (it'll reconnect when you spam A a bit) and it lasts about an hour after that with no issue before it stops syncing with my PC, even though the battery isn't fully dead, which is fine. It takes a little under an hour (maybe closer to 40 minutes) to fully charge for use again.
-For the emulator on PC, even though it's fully charged it will fail to recognize the wiimote when I decide to use it again, usually after I turn off and restart my pc (I turn it off completely once or twice a week, otherwise it just hibernates). To fix this, I remove the battery pack and place it back in and it'll recognize perfectly fine after that, as hitting the sync button does nothing for me.
