It is a great controller for the OnePlus 5, though, the controller needs a little more work.
First Impressions: The controller is extremely lightweight - I actually start to wonder what the battery life will be like because of how light it feels, making me wonder how large a battery is actually in here. The feel is extremely similar to an XBox One's current generation of controllers. The mouse-touchpad actually works - though it is definitely not for fine movements, it can be a passable mouse. The analog sticks click nicely and have no annoying physical dead zone jiggle when moved from center. The buttons all press firmly, and the triggers are smooth. I did not think I would care about the trigger limiters, but frankly I find them a nice touch. There are only two settings for each trigger - short and long - but the option here is actually kind of nice.
I've successfully paired this with both a windows 7 PC and a mobile device running Android 7.0, but that's where it loses a star. The instructions are extremely confusing about pairing, and I could not get anything to discover the peripheral. I finally found a few third party articles and forum posts online that explained the discovery that you either needed to install iPega's app OR hold the pairing button together WITH the X button. The latter worked fine for me on both Windows and Android.
[Update 29 Sept 2017]
Adding a comparison photo to show how darn near identical the controller is to an XBox One S bluetooth controller.
I've also had to charge the controller once so far, though I do not know how much of a charge it had originally.
[Edit 3 Oct 2017]
Contrary to my earlier impressions, there is a charging light indicator next to the USB port. However, the fact that you can't see this while using it seems to defeat the purpose. When plugged in, it also lights up and apparently turns off when charging is complete. Not the best methods, but it is a minor complaint for an otherwise fine controller for so cheap.
