About the Author
Betty Peercy Givan was born in Monticello, Kentucky, the youngest of six children. Early in life, she became interested in the preparation of food and began creating and collecting recipes at the age of 12. After retiring as a university professor of mathematics, she started sharing some quick and easy recipes on YouTube. After uploading her first video in January of 2009, she had no idea it would lead to having her own successful YouTube channel. Currently, she has over 1,750 video uploads, over 135,000 subscribers, and over 41 million video views on her YouTube channel, Betty's Kitchen.

If you can master the complexity of opening a box and using a can opener, you can master Betty's recipes. If you have a can of Cream of Chicken soup, you've got dinner. If you've got a box of sugar free vanilla pudding, you've got Thanksgiving dessert.
While some of her followers leave comments drooling over her skill of creating a sandwich out of shrink wrapped turkey on Wonder Bread with low-fat mayo and bagged lettuce, I'll pass.
