Brooke Hamilton is determined to shrug off the presence of super hot cowboy Cooper Hays, who shows up at the bar she tends during the Calgary Stampede week. Brooke's got a long list of cowboys who've loved and left her, and she's not ever going down that road again. But when Brooke makes a bet she thought she had no chance of losing, and proceeds to lose said bet, she can't welch on it. Cooper has two dates and a dance to prove to Brooke he has no plans to leave her anytime soon.

This was pretty hot; Cooper and Brooke had great chemistry. Cooper is just all man, so alpha and sexy. I loved him. Brooke, I understood her motivations, and sweeping generalization or not, it did makes sense to me. I really liked both characters, and this was a fun relationship to watch unfold. However, the pace these two have their romance in is too short, which greatly effects the credibility of the ending. I realize this is a common issue in romance novels (the relationship progression time span aka: the amazing race to the "L" bomb), but sometimes it's worse that others, and this one I felt was too fast.

Still, the romance was adorable and I did enjoy it. I'd definitely recommend this, it's a short and sexy little read. A great way to pass the time.

Wow! Talk about hot scenes! This novella has 'em. But the author doesn't stop there.

At heart, this is an extremely sensual and romantic love story, with a to-die-for hero and a realistic, likable heroine. It's all told from her point of view, though you come to know the depths of both characters and what makes them tick.

If you like hot cowboys (and who doesn't?) this one's a must.

Just a fantastic book!!! Very original and a great read. It's a story about Brooke who has been broken hearted by cowboys too often and vows not to get sucked into any more of their lies or promises. Then there's Cooper. Irresistible, smooth and the perfect catch. Try as she may Brooke falls for Cooper head over heels and ends up learning more about herself in the process than she thought possible. There's sex scenes and then there's the real deal in this book. Exciting, spicy and satisfying. I highly recommend this book and bring along a partner for some moral support!.......

This book was not good. First, before you pay $2.99, beware the story itself stops at 71% and the rest is a preview. Second, this book had no substantial plot other than ridiculous sex, most of which was the kind you want to laugh at because it's all generic, over-used rubble that could be found in any number of other romances that actually have a plot. Third, I am all for love at first sight romances, but when the entire story only lasts a week and suddenly they are in love and all the past issue are solved then I want to scream. And quite frankly, there was so little character development other than Brooke being easy for a cowboy, that it makes it even more difficult to believe they are in love- more just like horny in lust. I feel like I knew the side-character friend, Denny, better than two main characters. Finally, and this is probably a personal preference issue- but I don't feel that first person narrative worked well for this story and maybe third person would make it more tolerable. I will not be reading anymore of this series or works of this author. I'm sorry, but I just can't recommend this, even getting it for free.

There's nothing more sweet and romantic than a cowboy who takes you out on a beautiful night to watch the stars on your first date. I don't know about y'all but that's pretty romantic to me. One thing is unsettling though, what if he's just a pscyho killer who's out to murder the heck out of you. Hmm. I guess this is why fiction is better than real life.

On to my review, this is actually my second cowboy-themed love story that I read in one day. Wow! I'm on a roll here folks and somehow I can't stop. The story starts with Brooke meeting Cooper in a bar where she worked before starting her real summer job. For years, Brooke have been through with cowboys. The problem is she's into them and find them most attractive and irresistible that she vowed to stay clear of them. Cooper (the cowboy who's well known for his skills in the rodeo circuit) has other plans in mind and will go to great lengths to prove to Brooke that not all cowboys with big belt buckles and expensive Stetson are the same.

I love stories that involves a driven male to prove his woman wrong that not all of them are a-holes. The story won't bore you to death, it flows continuously with bits and pieces of information slowly blended to it, and not a gush of overwhelming repetitive information like the story I read prior to this.

Quick short read that was entertaining. Cooper that boy is something else, and Brooke good lord she's a hoot, "he broke his ankle a bit? What is that? Tough guy, cowboy talk? I leave before I have to listen to any more of this." Cooper he's ALL man, "do you have any idea what you've done to me?" There's an amazing ridge of solid flesh behind his fly." He's a total flirt, but he's a flirt that goes after what he wants, "I'd like to get it on with you," Cooper says. "If Denny needs to be there for it to happen, so be it." He's also considerate, "using his fork, he points a piece of meat at me. "Like that. Like you want to rip my clothes off. You're too injured to mess around." And when the tables are turned she makes sure he's taken care of , "go easy, little lady. This cowboy's injured."
