But Christina’s message is not about coercion or manipulation or any other means to dominate other people. Her message is about love, not force. By changing the very meaning and associations we have with the word power, we change our entire perspective on everything it relates to, and find ourselves capable of harnessing more power than we thought possible. That power, though, is not about how we relate to others, but how we relate to ourselves. With this power, we can be our truest selves and reach our fullest potential in life—regardless of what we’ve been told or led to believe about ourselves in the past.
Christina talks about the big picture too—if we each “reclaim our power” and become the “wholest” version of ourselves, the effects will be seen and heard and felt around the world. It is an ambitious concept, but one Christina explains with easy-to-read language and personal testimony that empowers the reader to take what they feel speaks to them and leave the rest—perhaps something to meditate on, revisit, or leave open to their own interpretation. She supports her ideas with insights and experience she’s gained from years working as a pharmacist, health coach, and Reiki healer, but she speaks to the reader with the tone of a friend—sometimes that sounds like sensitivity, other times it sounds like a kick in the butt.
“Reclaim Your Power” is not just a self-help book. Like Christina’s other books, especially "Revealing Your Inner Radiance," it reads much like a memoir, with “real” language that feels both gritty and inspiring. It is filled with insights, so although it’s easy to read and understand, it’s also very dense and should be read slowly, carefully. Use the space for notes at the end!
