5.0 out of 5 stars Was fantastic for what we ordered it for!!!
By Honest Ed on June 6, 2012
This is gonna sound crazy, but we ordered it for the picture of the sailors on the back cover. We found out about the book via the internet and it was ordered for a friend who's father served on this ship during the war. We ordered the book on the outside chance that my friend might find his father in the picture.

Amazingly his father is standing immediately behind the officers. There are three enlisted men that are standing center and slightly forward of the rest of the sailors but behind the officers. My friends father is the gentleman in the middle of the three. We're not sure if this had any significance or not, though his father was a leader-type of person. His name was Watkins Jones...his friends called him "Watkins" or more probably "Jonesy". Sadly, a few years later and after making it through the war my friend's father was killed by a drunk driver when my friend was just a kid. If anyone knows of "Jonesy" or has heard from someone that mentioned him we would love to hear from you...you can email intheswamp00AThotmail.com . (Naturally, replace the AT with the @ sign.) Thanks!

Oh, and the content of the book is interesting, too. :)
