This memoir is a great, uplifting, and inspiring read that you can begin and finish in one day. It teeters on being too short for my taste, but I am a fast reader — it may be perfect for others, and because I gained something from it, I am satisfied. A true love story with concrete messages about connection and relationships. As is with all of Catton's products, it has a solid tone, and his messages are clear — you can feel his "zen." This book has proven, well-referenced, and cited sources. Don't be fooled by this quick read because it is like the Hoover Dam — you see it and think it is beautiful, but you know there is a far higher power and passion being held back behind its constructs. This book is a testament of a man with far more universal intellectual content to share. However, he does mention in the introduction that he has worked on this book for years and contemplated wrapping it up many times. I understand the need to finalize chapters and close the covers. Sometimes you have to finish things for yourself.
