RecoverFun Mini - a tiny percussion massager gun that packs a serious punch
I’ve owned the Standard massager from RecoverFun for almost a year and I’ve been very happy with it. Initially I purchased it because it was affordable and it seemed reliable from all the reviews I could find. I am confident in saying it is quiet, strong, and includes everything I need, including an awesome carrying case.
RecoverFun has now released the Mini which they reached out to me to try as a paying customer of the standard. I put an “initial impressions and unboxing video” of the Mini on my YouTube channel (Trevor Barone). I have now used the mini for a handful more sessions and I’m even more impressed.
The Mini is sleek, nearly silent, and has a longer battery life than the standard. I will say I prefer an actual case to the bag and in some circumstances I like the larger size and handle of the Standard to reach areas on my back and neck as I have pretty immobile shoulders.
Really all you need is the metal head which makes this whole recovery system barely larger than a cell phone and great for taking on the go. The other attachments are not essential if you are taking this to travel or even just to work or in your car as a pre-activity warm up massage.
I highly recommend RecoverFun and I was thinking about passing one of these on to family members because they are so awesome, but now they have become very affordable, I may just need to get them one for Christmas.

Already a happy owner of RecoverFun’s full-size massage gun, but was looking for something a little more portable and easier to maneuver.
Was concerned that this small device wouldn’t be able to deliver the same amount of force that I’m used to with the full-size, but I’m finding it gets the job done just fine.
In the end, it has all the same benefits as the full-size model:
- high quality
- well-built
- good assortment of tips
- delivers enough force to work out all the knots and provide a good massage
- quiet
Same benefits in a smaller size makes it easier to use/less awkward when trying to get to some hard-to-reach spots. Also, think I’ll be more likely to take it with me on the go vs the larger case and heft of the original.
A solid product, would highly recommend it over the more expensive (and louder) full-sized massage guns out there right now.

I was looking for a smaller massage gun for traveling. I had some concerns that a smaller percussion device wouldn’t have the power to provide a good massage, but this little beast has made this concerns melt away. The main body is metal and has good heft to it, which means your hand isn’t taking the brunt of the vibrations. It appears well made, with no defects noticeable. I can stall it out if I REALLY push into it, but it takes a good bit of pressure to do so, and if you are looking for that amount of pressure, you probably should be on a foam roller.
It is lighter and more manageable than any other massage guns that I have tried. My girlfriend likes the size and weight of it more than our larger massage Gun. I like the USB C connection, which is the standard now too. I’ve been using it for a couple days on its first charge, and it still seems to have juice left. I will update this if issues arise after continued use.

Initially I was very hesitant to try this brand but they have proven to provide quality products at a much lower price than their competitors. Don't be fooled into trying anything cheaper unless you want an inferior product with no customer service if anything happens.

I have the original Recoverfun Gun but this complements it nicely. The small form factor is perfect for travel and USB C is definitely a plus! It is lightweight but heavy enough to limit vibrations into your arm. You can see in the video below that it delivers consistent power at all four settings even when applying it against high pressure.
