I first learned about David Shrigley while browsing a stack of books at the gift ship of the Museum of Modern Art. My boyfriend was chuckling out loud at a small pink book and started showing me all the drawings. That was his book, "Ants Have Sex in my Beer." Fast forward a few years later, and while Christmas shopping I remembered his love of that book that he never purchased. I found out that this "Red Book" was his latest and bought it for his stocking stuffer. He was puzzled when he first opened it, but was quickly surprised and delighted.

Shrigley's style is not for everyone, but his books are oddly funny. Some of the drawings are just plain silly and shouldn't be funny, but are completely hilarious. A great gift for someone with a quirky sense of humor.

this is truly a fantastic book. I picked it up totally randomly at this book shop and read it through in about an hour (once you're sucked in, it's hard to do anything else before you put it down). Of course, always have a blast going back through the weird cartoons and and "comics" in this book.

Classic Shrigley. Absolutely hysterical.

I love David Shrigley, as well as most everything Scotland has to offer. This book is just what one would expect from Shrigley, and I am totally psyched to have it in my collection. My first Shrigley purchase, many more to come...

I love this guy! I love his artwork and sense of humor. I was fortunate to have one of his exhibits at my work place and I got to see him a few times. Did I mention that I love this guy?
