Don't think you're going to be melting snow with it. I've tried. It seems to take quite a lot of energy to melt snow, unfortunately.
One thing for sure: it is very FUN to use. Don't burn your forest down! Be careful what the conditions are when you use it, this thing can get things bursting into flames quick.
