About the Author

New York Times and USA Today bestselling author, Jessie Evans, gave up a career as an international woman of mystery to write the sexy, contemporary romances she loves to read. She's married to the man of her dreams, and together they're raising a few adorable, mischievous children in a cottage in the jungle. She grew up in rural Arkansas, spending summers running wild, being chewed by chiggers, and now appreciates her home in a chigger-free part of the world even more. When she's not writing, Jessie enjoys playing her dulcimer (badly), sewing the worlds ugliest quilts to give to her friends, going for bike rides with her house full of boys, and drifting in and out on the waves, feeling thankful for sun, surf, and lovely people to share them with.

Oh my, what a fantastic box set. I haven't read a book by Jessie Evans before and was extremely happy that I bought and read this box set. I loved all three books. All three were heartwarming stories. Jake from book one, Mick from book two and Jamison from book three were strong caring men. Jake and his brother Jamison were firemen. Mick was in construction. Naomi from book one and her sister Maddie from book three opened up a bakery in town. Naomi had had her own television show, etc and had more money than she new what to do with but it didn't go to her head. She was a very giving person who broke Jake's heart before she moved away right after high school graduation. She came back ten year late to be with family and with hope of becoming friend with Jake again. They both had lost someone they loved during the ten years Naomi was gone. There story is a heartwarming one. Faith is also a fireman, or should I say fire-woman, who looked to Jake and Jamison like big brothers who looked after her. She was bound not to marry but take care of herself. Then she met up with Mick when he came back to town after college. He had a very bad relationship in college. He was gun shy to be in another relationship. Things don't go as one thinks they will. There's is a sweet and heartwarming story. My favorite of the three, but just my a smidgeon, was book three, Jamison and Maddie's story. It also was heartwarming. Jamison had a reputation of a womanizer but never one to hurt a woman. He was too caring of a man. He and Maddy had been friends from childhood. He may of teased her but he always was there to protect her when needed. Maddy had also left town, gotten married and divorced and came back to be with family. There story is the one I will remember the most. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this box set. If you like a good contemporary romance that has firemen too, treat yourself to the fantastic box set. You can't go wrong with the price of it either.

This was a new author for me. Often when I try new authors, or order the box sets I regret it. That did NOT happen here!! I loved all three of these stories. Terrific, fun, human characters, good story lines and wonderfully written with humor.

I already ordered the next one.

Don't hesitate - read these. They are terrific, hot, sexy, fun romances.

I got Sweet to You in another set, then I HAD to go read the other two books. Like it was mandatory to read what happened before Jamison and Maddie had their wild camping experience. These were all fast reads, simply because I couldn't wait to see what happened next. The characters are all so well-written that you almost start joining in on their conversations as you're reading the books. And yes, I read Sweet to You a second time and will no doubt read it a third when I have the opportunity.

What can I say about Jake and Naomi? Love and secrets DEFINITELY don't mix. I love the innocence of young love that this story has. I appreciate how it shows young love can stand the test of time, that it is not just a passing whim or fancy (I married my high school sweetheart if that tells you anything lol).

Mick and Faith? I love the strength and sensitivity in both of the characters. These two seem like "my type of people." When working out together can turn into a "date" I'm hooked. Such different lives they have led but they still fit.

and then Jessie gave us Jamison and Maddie...you have to give your props to Maddie that she grew up with him and kept her hands off of him. If I got within a five mile radius of that man I would sniff him out (when you read it you'll see what I did there lol).

All three of these books are well worth the price/time. I would have gotten it even if she charged more (but shhhhhh don't tell her that!).

Melt with You
When Naomi comes back to town and wants to be friends with her high school sweetheart, Jake, things don't go as she planned. She tricks him into dates but after spending time together he realizes he can't keep denying his feelings. Even though they've both been hurt in the past they decide to try again. They have great chemistry and they are HOT together. I laughed out loud more than a few times and did I mention it's HOT?!
You get to see some familiar characters from The Bridesmaid series and meet new characters (Yay! Mick) Jessie has an amazing way of describing scenes where you actually see and feel the flowers and the sun and taste the salted caramel cookies.

"And now, with her laying beside him, her arms up over her hear and her eyes closed to soak in the warm rays, she looked good enough to eat. All he wanted to do was to cover her body with his own, let his lips play down her throat to the top of her sleeveless dress and use his teeth to tug away the thin fabric..."

It's very well written and you instantly care about all of the characters from the very beginning.
The secondary characters are so intriguing that I actually clapped when I saw the preview for the next book!

Favorite line. "In black jeans, a white button-down, and gray V-neck sweater, Jake looked like he should be modeling business casual for Delicious Man-Meat Monthly."

Hot For You
MICK! MICK! MICK! Ok, now that I got that out of my system. I've been waiting for Mick's story and I couldn't be happier with this book. Mick and Faith have relationship baggage, but their story is sweet and sexy. It's a feel good love story with a nice dose of angst but it's worth it!
