Best price available anywhere for this quantity of wild rice, but I find that the rice has an odd taste. Kind of musty and unpleasant. I had been using Lundberg wild rice up until now, and never experienced this issue of odd taste. **Update: Only two out of the four bags I ordered had this musty taste. I'm guessing it was from some isolated moldiness in the storage facility. Although musty, the rice wasn't inedible, and I didn't get sick from it, just to clarify.

After trying the Nature's Earthly Choice wild rice, my family fell in love with it, but we wanted larger bags because we started eating it so quickly. Also wanted a subscribe and save option. I found this while searching the Subscribe and Save store. I was concerned about the quality compared to the Nature's Earthly Choice, but I needn't have been. The quality of this wild rice is just as good as the other. It comes in three small bags bundled together, no zip top option, but each bag is about 2 cups, so that isn't a problem for my family of 5. We usually eat about a bag at a meal.

As far as wild rice, This stuff is awesome! It cooks SO easily. Boil 1 cup of rice on a stovetop with three cups of water for 30 minutes and it's done! It has a taste almost of rice crossed with walnuts or pecans... it's SO good, my kids LOVE it and beg for this stuff, and we're talking ages 2, 6, and 9--some of the pickiest eaters in all of child-dom, and my kids jump up and down excitedly!

This can also be made in a rice cooker with 4 cups of water per 1 cup of rice--and 1 cup of wild rice feeds my entire family of five with leftovers. IT expands enormously! It's ready when the grains begin to split and show white--really obvious when you start cooking it.

This is the real deal. Full grains and good flavor. Price was reasonable. I can't find anything like this locally. So this is the product I will keep using.

This is now on my subscribe and save list. It is so delicious! However, I'm not particularly wild about the bags it comes it and so I immediately dump it into an air tight canning jar to keep it fresh longer.

Keep in mind that wild rice takes a longer time to cook than most white rice and even longer than some brown rice. However, it can also be a hard thing to eat straight. If you are just trying wild rice, it is recommended that you use it in combination with other rices, cooked separately, and then added to your final rice dish. But you will LOVE the nutty flavor and texture it imparts to other dishes. It also makes an interesting addition to a mushroom risotto.

I've also found that cooking this in chicken broth is a phenomenal treat that is worth trying. It softens the rice slightly and brings in another flavor that complements the rice.

This is good, tasty wild rice. No grit. It's great to always have wild rice on hand. Our usual easy use is to follow Alton Brown's instructions for baking brown rice, replacing 1/2 cup of brown rice with this wild rice. Wonderful and easy.

Finally had a chance to prepare this excellent rice. Yummy. I neglected to rinse the rice prior to cooking ... simmered for 50 minutes ... drained ... fluffed ... stirred in some butter, parsley, sage and caramelized onion resulting in a most sumptuous wild rice side. I've been preparing wild rice for decades but this product is hands down the best. Tender with nutty taste. Great buy!

Its decent and a good price for the brand. But the texture is different from the wild rice, I have gotten from trader joes or locally in Wisconsin. I eat wild rice often and have been my whole life, this brand just has a different taste, and I had to cook it longer to get it to soften enough, that I have had to with other wild rice brands. Its flavor is slightly different too.
