Great but foam-lined and a little short

I've had very similar pants hangers to this one and wanted more but couldn't remember where I got them. When I received this, I was surprised to find that the bars where you hang the pants are foam-coated rather than plastic-coated metal. This (1) makes them bunch up when you try to slide them on unless you take extra care, (2) makes them harder to slide off when removing, and (3) may not last as long since foam tends to disintegrate with heat and time. Thank goodness I don't have light colored pants to find out if the foam bleeds or otherwise rubs off onto them. I wouldn't be entirely surprised if it did. Additionally, this pants rack is pretty compact height-wise, which means you have to push the pants on the above bars aside more if you're putting pants on the lower bars.

On the good side, it seems pretty sturdily built (nothing mind-blowingly amazing, but definitely more than sufficient for its dedicated use). The bars swing out nicely (with the exception of being kind of close together, giving rise to the problem described above). It isn't bad enough for me to return, so I'm keeping it.

These hangers are more than I expected. They really are easy to use once you get the hang (!) of it. Hooking and unhooking is a breeze. Just unhook the bar and swing it out. Even with pants on the bar, there is no difficulty. I have saved a ton of space in my small closet. I will admit I was somewhat doubtful that these hangers were study enough to manage 5 pr. pants. For my needs, however, they are more than adequate. I should say, however, that many of the long pants I have are very lightweight-- I live in the SW and rarely require heavy, warmer pants. I can't say whether or not 5 pr. heavy Levi's or woolen winter pants would not overburden even these study hangers. Definitely works for me though and I will be purchasing additional hangers as the need arises.

I finally got around to using these. I can't say they saved a ton of closet space, because my vast lot of pants took up pretty much the same area. Where I did find the greatest gain is with organization. I placed them by color and style. Also, I reduced the number of hangers in my closet. No more hanger tangle! I have a lot of pants and my closet is full. (Next step, donate some of those suckers.) I can easily select a pair without the hangers tangling. Highly recommend.
