"A wonderful book! The characters are heroic and flawed and broken, and about 1/3 of the way through the book, I was hooked...rooting for them to overcome, rooting for them to have a happy ending, and scared to get to the end in case it wasn't a happy one. Ms. Hodge has crafted an interesting tale of suspense amid a beautiful love story. You don't know who to trust, so you are suspicious of everyone. I can't wait to read her next book. With the transformation of her debut novel from Seasons to Red on the Run, KM Hodge has hit the sweet spot. The overall tone is lighter, yet she hasn't sacrificed the obstacles her characters must face as they battle not only their own personal demons, but organized crime as well. The magic in Hodge's writing comes in the depth she gives her characters. Her main characters, as well as her supporting cast, are flawed and wounded and lovable, and that's what drives them to trouble and triumph...or somewhere in between. I'm looking forward to the next book in this series and to witnessing the writing talent of KM Hodge transform even more. This author is one to follow." -Melinda McIntosh, Author of Bit of Tickle for the Mind.
"Domestic abuse and addiction can be pretty tough topics but K.M. Hodge delivers in a debut novel that is fast-paced and very suspenseful. I wanted to keep reading and I enjoyed this novel to the end. Looking forward to future books in the series!!" -Gail Olmsted, Author of Jeep Tour and Guessing at Normal.

EDITOR: I read almost anything I could get my hands on as a kid. Any genre held my attention if the writing was good. I longed to be an author who could put words together in such a way to make people lose all sense of time and space. When I joined my writing critique group a few years ago, I realized my love of words translated well into editing. I wanted to hone a writer's already decent work into masterpieces everyone would desire to read. Then just last year I quit my "real" job to go freelance and I'm loving every minute of it. I write mainly non-fiction works like personal experience and Christian devotions, but I've edited almost every genre. Currently, I'm a huge fan of YA, cozy mysteries, some speculative fiction and crime dramas. When I'm not reading or writing, I'm playing with my dog or spending time with my hubby.
