For starters, the sweat blocker was very cumbersome and shielded the view even more on the bike, i.e. down in an aero position. I discarded that piece after a ride or two, and they felt better with a better view as a result. I did like the multiple lenses that could be swapped out depending on the light outside and personal preference. But after about 5-6 uses, the top part of the frame above the left lense just split in half. This occurred for no apparent reason - I never dropped these glasses and always carried them in their hard-shell case when they weren't in use. I was always very careful in swapping out any lenses and making sure I wasn't bending the frame in any manner. They just simply broke.
The hard case is nice and I've kept it for other sunglasses I'm using. The cleaning rag was also nice, and the multiple lenses were a good bonus. But considering the frame broke so quickly, those other lenses are now rendered useless. So yes, you get what you paid for. However, this cliche does not fit in every instance - since these pair broke for me I've maintained my "cheap" attitude and went to buying 2 pairs of Foster Grant Ironman sunglasses at Walmart. So far that was the best $30 I've spent ($15 each) as they are both durable and allow terrific vision. No, they aren't Oakleys or Rudy Projects, but they don't have to be. As for these pairs, sorry, not interested in purchasing again.
Now, of course the Oakleys are going to be a bit more refined, with sharper optics, stronger construction, more comfortable fit...but probably not worth the exponential price difference unless you just want to show off the brand logo.
These come with several interchangeable lenses and unlike the $30 sports glasses I bought off FleaBay many years ago, the lenses come off and on quite easily, you don't feel like you're risking breaking the darn things.
My main concern was whether the lenses would fog up when going into the cold from a warm house---happily, they don't.
Also wondered whether they'd slide down my nose while running---again, they don't.
My only gripe is that I thought one of the lenses would be totally clear so that I would wear it during night/dawn/dusk runs, but it's not...it's about 10% darkened, which is a lot better than the standard 70-80% of course. So still usable, and this is the main reason I bought them---my Oakleys were too dark for low-light running especially during the long dark winters.
4 and 1/2 stars.
I like the interchangeable lenses, too. They're easy to switch out, just use common sense - the instructions are in poorly translated English.
