The settings are very well described, making it a picturesque story, but character development was a bit shallow. I've read the author's Bellewood Series books which are rich in detail and told with depth of character. This novella is a cute rendition of a children's fairytale, but a bit simplified compared to June Foster's other works. I would recommend this to teen readers as a great transitional book from children's books into young adult novels. There are some unexpected events that pick up the plot, and this is a sweet afternoon or evening read with a cup of your favorite beverage. The spiritual message is a bonus to this tale.

Wolf shows up at Lily's grandmother's house with more of his tricks, hoping to win Lily's heart? Can Lily see through his devious ways? What about Hunter? And how does Grandma help?
June Foster's written a heart-warming book that re-tells Little Red Riding Hood in a grown-up fun way. She includes humor and writes from a Christian viewpoint. I recommend this book for a refreshing, inspirational read.
