I was a little skeptical about this product because of it's price. Every place else that I looked was charging about as much as a new car. I figured that it was too good to be true, but it was worth a try at this price. WOW!!! What a wonderful product! It looks great and fits very well. A little care must be taken when putting it on and taking it off (try to get help from someone) because the brass "eyelets" that secure the front and back are, well...brass. They are a bit weak. That is not a complaint about the armor, just the nature of brass. It weighs in at about 18 lbs (another reason to have help from someone), but like modern body armor, you don't feel the weight when it is being worn. Keep it in a cool DRY place and keep it well oiled when not in use, metal tends to rust...FAST. If you are looking for an inexpensive Lorica Segmentata to wear and/or display, this is the only way to go!

It fits ok. Would like it a little more larger, even saying that it will fit approximately size 48". I'm a person that's a little bit more because I workout but it's ok. When I try the armor had to do some adjustments to it and the rivets had some sharpened parts that got in the fabric of my t shirt. The way I managed it, had to used a dreimer to eliminate the sharp rivets. It is a great breastplates, looks like the real one. Excellent for re anactment.

I was happy with the delivery time, and the price was much better than comparable equipment. I like what I got, but it is not exactly what is pictured above. The 4 breastplate hooks as shown do not exist. The front buckle on mine will require some repair, as the little metal roller either fell off or was never put on. Other than that, its a quality item as far as I'm concerned. The brass edging on the shoulder plates is a nice touch. Other segementata that I found on other sites looked exactly like this, but at twice the cost.

Excellent workmanship, exactly as discribed and pictured. If you have a chest smaller than 44 inches it might be a little big depending on what you wear under it. Shipped the same day I ordered it, can't ask for any better than that. Comes well oiled so have some rages ready when it arrives. I search the internet and the closes price I could find on it was a hundred dollars more. Excellent product, price and service.

Part of the brass trim is coming off, but other than that it's a fine product especially for the price.

It comes packed in grease, so you'll need to wipe the thing down before assembling the four parts.

Simple enough to put together really, the chest has a left and right side and so do the shoulder pieces.
