These Reditainer 3 compartment food containers could be fitted into a cooler. They are leak proof it matters very little that they are propped vertically inside. Upon retrieval, it is easy to 'unlock' the lid. The portions are good sizes. One tray will hold 2 apples, 3 bananas, and a good handful of grapes. The lids raise up too, so you can have an over-extra scoop on top of your foods. Another tray will hold a good sized salad with dressing and seeds/additions or 2-3 chicken breasts, 6 boiled egg halves, and 2-3 red potatoes. Holds up nicely in the dishwasher for easy cleaning the main user of these trays works construction/rooftop electrician, 8-10 hour work days outside, with massive amounts of calories being burned. These harder workers have no complaints about these trays. These containers are great for making lunches for the week.

My process: 1) Make a ton of food on Sunday 2) Split into 10 portions for lunches and dinners during the week 3) Freeze all of them 4) When ready to eat, throw them in the microwave for a couple minutes 5) Grub 6) Throw into the top rack of the dishwasher 7) dry and store 8) Repeat
After the first couple of washes, the plastic frays a bit, and I definitely would not call these "airtight", as they do get a bit of freezer burn if left in the freezer too long. For these reasons, I'm not giving it 5 stars.
I used the original 10 at least 10 times of freezing, microwaving, and machine washing, and they are still tough as before, which is why I "invested" in another 10.
Would definitely recommend if you want to save money by packing/organizing your own food.
That said, when they arrived I realized that they would be nice to use. The lids fit well and the plastic material is really solid. I used them not only for food, but to hold and organize different things like sewing materials, doo-dads, make-up, etc. I don't generally microwave in plastic, so I'm putting them to use in different ways and they serve that purpose beautifully. They stack well too.

The lids don't even connect/attach
Would have to tape it closed. The idea is good but execution is the worst
