So it's a solid 3.5 for me. I don't know what her beta team and editors were doing, but clearly, this book needed more work from them. So many grammatical errors and missing words, it felt rushed. I mean it takes ONE single read through to spot them, yet how many beta readers does she have? And at least one editor ? And NONE OF THEM caught the mistakes ? Yeah, if I'm going to pay $3-$5 for a book, I expect more from it.

The story was ok. It just feels like at the start of the series, they have one antagonist, he died, and instead of the series ending, the author had to come up with another antagonist, though it's feeling forced and like they are not much of a threat really. It feels like the series has ran its course to me. It's still good writing, but I think it's time to let this series go.

I know many readers are only interested in Laurann's New Species series, and while I cut my teeth on that series too, all her books are wonderful. I branched out from NS to this VLG series, her Cyborg Seduction series and the Zorn too. I even grabbed up the Raines books.
I guess you can tell I'm a fan. It's because her books are well written, with great character development and lovely plots.
Don't stick with one series and not give any of her others a try. All her stories and books are a great to read!

I'm obsessed with the series since I read the first book, isn't it great 😑 how Karma has a way of changing things and basically biting you in the ass when you want things to go one way and go the way you least expected, and they don't and that's kind of what happened to Red.
the story is good it has a bit of humor it,(he had a plans, what a grumpsours, my girl Emma can play with the big boys🔫🏹🤺, Master Mal has trained her well his humor is hilarious⚰🐊they have their moments “Shush, Grandchild. Don’t spoil my fun.”
& 😂Pest! yes him has me morbidly intrigued I want to read what happens when he uses that blender move. Fingers crossed🤞, 🤔 the other characters from the earlier books makes it great to know what they are up to and how it touches base with everyone else and now we wonder who the new threat to the all five Clans (see, there I added the garLycans🦇 included in the Clans cuz now they're allies so yeah nudge wink😉)I'm rooting for them all! and I want more stories please!!! 🙏 it did leave me hanging towards the end 😓😔 but I guess it's just me.
it's still a great series and you'll love it (also new species just as great too kudos👌 ) can't wait to see what new possible book are coming maybe Pest! Book 🤔 any which ever is next I know it will be great,
I had meant this to be short and sweet but I guess I got carried away👍keep on doing what you do with the great stories and I'm a huge fan!!!

I have to say I forced myself to read this book just so I can get to Trayis’s book. I was annoyed when Redson came out first. Grrr. Lol.

But I really enjoyed all the falling in love aspects of it. I was especially entertained when the heat started. I never thought the author would write about the heat. Could have been a tiny bit longer though. Otherwise, it was very well done.

My only complaint was there were a lot of errors in the writing. Which surprised me. This author only sometimes has grammatical issues in her books. But this one had so many that I would have to reread lines to get it. It was frustrating.

Still, I loved it. It will be on my reread list. I’m off to start Trayis now. Enjoy!

For me this series and it's characters never gets old, and I always seem to find another character of love to have a story about. For instance Malachi, Emma's grandfather, I would love to read more about him and maybe more about the pack too. But this couple, Emma & redson, were adorable while still being hot. You could probably read this book as a standalone but you might enjoy more of the details and surroundings if you've read the others. There is plenty of action, romance, and paranormal type stuff to keep you interested. It's really a very good book, with an adorable HEA, in a series that for me never gets old would recommend.

I thought the book was excellent. YES! There are a few typos, but nothing you can't use common sense to work around. It was fine. Of course, I grade papers for a living, so perhaps I'm immune. I love this series of Laurann Dohner. They are a must read whenever she comes out with a new one. The relationships are sweet, HOT, and filled with action, angst, and subplots. I love paranormal romances with all of these ingredients. I hate when its just a love story and no action at all, or when you have to wait almost an entire book for their to be a love scene. This book had none of that, so it was right up my alley. I liked seeing some of the other characters from previous books, learning more about Vamplycan culture, etc. Redson and Imma were a super HOT couple. It was great!

I really miss the NEW SPECIES stories but this series has held me the same way that NS did! I still root for Vengeance to get a woman in NS because he learned to cook and deserves a second chance to find love. He is always so angry but his heart was always in the right place! I'm just putting that out there .
