UPDATE: I've been using them for about 2 weeks now and the more I wear them the more I love them. I think I'll get another pair as my daily drivers. They keep your foot cool! So many shoes make my feet hot but these ones keep them nice and cool. Another thing I've noticed is that there really wasn't a bit breakin period. They just always felt good
The shoes are made like slip ons. When you slide your foot in, this takes a bit getting used to the shoe feels like it is a pair of socks. There is no tongue it just surrounds your foot. I think this was the problem with socks their just wasn't enough room for them. Once the socks were gone however they felt great. No more pressure on the top and they were much easier to get on.
After a few months the stitching on the side is starting to come undone. No big deal I just cut them off with scissors.
The shoelaces are another thing. The don't like to stay tied. I dont' think it is how I tie them as I have been tying my shoes the same way since I was a child. I didn't have a midlife crisis where I decided to change the way I tie my shoes. I just think whatever they are made of comes undone easy. This happens when I work out and when I walk around the block.
These are great workout / kick around shoes that are very comfortable without socks. This is easy for me as I live in Southern California but if you live in a colder climate this could become a problem.
I would recommend buying them as at this price point for these types of shoes you can't go wrong.
