Editorial Reviews

Reed was composed by Emanuel Dimas de Melo Pimenta in 2009, dedicated to the ninetieth birthday of the legendary choreographer Merce Cunningham. The piece, performed and recorded in New York City, is based on body movements captured by Eadweard Muybridge's photos. Merce passed away few weeks after the composition and recording were done, but he had time to listen to it and to see the virtual music scores. He told to the composer about his pleasure about this work. Emanuel Pimenta collaborated with Merce Cunningham over almost twenty-five years. In those years he composed four concerts for Cunningham's company.

When sold by Amazon.com, this product will be manufactured on demand using CD-R recordable media. Amazon.com's standard return policy will apply.
