AVOID! Adhesive on straps consistantly FAILS

Don't buy these. I purchased a pair last year locally that failed in the same way. Because I have other reefs flip flops that I've had for over 10 years which haven't come apart like this I thought last years pair failure was a fluke. I purchased another pair from Amazon and in less than three months the strap has failed in the exactly same manner. I'd like to return them but there is no option for that. GRRRR! This has to be a manufacturing flaw for this style!

I'm a Southern CA girl and I legit live in flip flops 365 days of the year. I've pretty much tried all the sandals brands out there. Reef sandals were my go to most of the time; I'd try another brand but always go back to Reef. Then I found some Sanuk's that I fell in love with and they became my go to. Unfortunately, after buying 7 pairs in the span of 3 years I realized they're def not made to be worn every day. So I decided to go back to Reef and wanted to find a similar style to the Sanuks.
I ordered these and was super pumped to get them! Unfortunately the pumped feeling ended as soon as I opened the package. These are def a cheaper version of their previous sandals. The sole felt like a plastic sponge and actually gave me a weird burn blister after walking around in them while camping. The strap cut into my foot and was not forgiving. After two days of wearing them I was over it. I was def not blissful wearing these sandals.

Flip flops leach ink into your feet! DO NOT BUY

I bought these shoes to replace my reef flip flops that I have been wearing for the last 10 years. These are NOT the same quality. I wore them for 20 minutes to lunch and the ink LEACHED into my skin! The ink got onto my other clothing items and stained. It took me a WEEK to wash the ink off of my feet. DO NOT BUY these sandals unless you want permanent flip flop ink stains on your feet. Hopefully the ink isn’t toxic.

I always but Reef flip flops. From the ones with the bottle opener on the bottom, to the blissful nights. I rave about them. Never had an issue. Last year I bought my favorite pair! They broke at the beginning of this summer. And I live in NE. So, truly, they’re worn for maybe 4 months. 🤷🏼‍♀️ The company is sending me a replacement, which I’m so pleased about. But they said it’d be 2-4 weeks. And that’s the whole summer. No other flip flop is as comfortable for me. So I came to Amazon to buy a pair while I wait. I got black this time, my replacement has brown straps. Well. I wish I saw the reviews first. My feet turned BLACK. Terribly stained. Super irritating. And my feet weren’t wet or sweaty. Dry as a bone. I had to scrub my feet for 10 minutes to get it off. And then had to soak the shoes and scrub them. To avoid this happening again. It’s improved the black marks. But, WTF?!

Although I love this product, and order it all the time, the material in the thong bands has been changed and this last pair is giving me dark black marks on my feet when I wear them! I've had four pairs of this same style and none have ever done that. Upon close inspection, the material is slightly different. I can only hope the company realizes this, and will switch back. Otherwise these keep their shape and far outlast the Ginger style of flip flops I had previously worn.

Leaves black marks on feet.

I this product a month and a half ago. At first I liked them even though they were a little big. But then they started leaving black on my feet. I continued to wear them hoping that it would wear off and stop leaving black on my feet, but here I am a month and a half later and they are still leaving black marks in my feet. The picture I posted was from today June 22nd and I purchased them in the beginning of May. I can return them bc I’ve missed the window but I wanted to post to make others aware. I usually buy the star gazer ones from reef and never had this problem. I will not be buying this style flip flop from reef again. Back to the star gazer I go.

It’d been at least 10 years since I’ve owned a pair of Reefs but my fiancé was gifted a pair recently and triggered major Reef envy (it’s a thing). I recalled their quality and comfort but negative reviews nearly swayed me otherwise. With a Cancún vacay around the corner, I went for it anyway and purchased 2 pairs, including these. I typically wear a size 9 but can get away with 8.5’s. Ordered 9’s and they fit perfectly. Took me a walk through 2 airports to break ‘em in with minor discomfort (my feet never react well to new shoes). Wore them the rest of the 6 day trip around a massive resort. They went with everything I wore — a pleasant surprise for the color. Arrived quickly and extremely happy with my purchase overall. I’m hooked on Reefs again!

These are just okay. I wear flips most of the summer and I like to have a variety. I was trying to replace a gold pair I had worn out. I really like the dark brown sole combo with the gold. They are pretty comfy and do not rub anywhere. However please note the sole on these is very thin. I do wear them around the house and yard but I don’t feel they are substantial enough to wear out on a sidewalk or long walk. The sole is cushy and is about 1/2 inch.

I was a bit hesitant about buying these because the sole looked like it was made of the same stuff as cheap rubber flip-flops and might not last. But the choice of vegan flip-flops is very limited, so I got them. And I don’t regret it: they are very attractive and are wearing well, despite the fact I’m only taking them off when I go to bed. The strap is starting to show a tiny bit of wear but I’d expect that. The sole still looks virtually new and hasn’t become imprinted with my foot shape. They’re comfy to wear and walk in, and they feel solid, like they won’t stretch or suddenly pop apart. The straps are buried in the sole - no nasty little rubber circles on the undersole. I’m usually a size 39-40/6-7 UK and I got a size 8, which fits perfectly.

These appear to be either 'seconds' or slipped past quality control. The memory foam footbed has two raised mountings protruding through into your feet where the toe thong joint meets the footbed. It is a raised glue-point. Very uncomfortable.
