First and foremost - I feel like I should admit I keep this stuff in my bathroom lotion basket because it's a lively topic at parties. Everyone comes out of the bathroom talking about the "Hoo Ha Ride Glide"! And let's admit, the name is super fun.

In terms of usefulness, it's middle of the road. It does have that "Minty Fresh" feeling that the other reviewer commented on, but I didn't find it to be as uncomfortable. It certainly surprised me though, and made for some good ride conversation. That minty-fresh feeling actually turned out to have a purpose, thought - it numbs your girly parts. Depending on your ride length, this could be good or bad; I found it to be good. My girly parts hurt after long rides; this helps. I've also found it lasts for several hours - perfect if you're doing long training rides (think 4-5 hours at a time).

However, despite the wonderful name and girly-part-numbing-capabilities, this doesn't do much in terms of chaff prevention. I found it's most useful when I apply it to my girly parts first and then apply Chamios Butter to my actual Chamios. The Chamios Butter is much more useful when it comes to keeping your shorts chamios in good condition and when you need that anti-chaffing lubricant. I found that the Chamios Butter alone didn't do the job, though - I need the Hoo Ha Ride Glide first. The combo of the two keeps all my girly parts happy and chaff-free on my long rides, and I highly recommend the combination.

I love this stuff. I ride about 16 miles each day and longer rides on the weekend as I am working towards a century. This product works as described. I love the cooling feeling from the essential oils. I don't think it burns, it's a little suprising at first but overall it's very soothing. It was recommended to me at several bike stores over the Chamios Butter because the Hoo Ha cream has the anti-bacterial properties. I've heard stories from women getting infections because they did not use an anti-bacterial cream. My friend did a century without it and was sore for atleast a week. The 2nd century she used Hoo Ha and it worked great. We are going to get some of the .25 oz sizes to keep in our saddel bags just in case we leave the house without it.

I really do love this stuff. It has the consistency of a regular lotion and goes on easily. It has a nice scent of mostly peppermint and lavender. It has a distinct cooling effect that I personally like a lot, due to the peppermint and menthyl lactate, but that I have read is too harsh for some other reviewers. I have not had a problem with this and find it to be one of the reasons I really like this cream over other chamois creams. I also like that this cream has so many herbal extracts and essential oils used for calming skin and fighting bacteria and fungus. I not only use this cream for bike riding, but also to help before and after horseback riding. When using this product, a little goes a long way, so an 8 oz tube has lasted me over a year with occasional use, and several months with use several times a week. I definitely recommend this product.

My wife swears by this stuff. She uses it on mid-longer bike rides and has so far (knocks on wood) never had any problems. She puts a layer on the chamios and covers all of the bits, nooks & crannies to take care of the rest. She much prefers it over normal Chamios butter, which is generally a gloopy mess. This is nice, smooth, smells good and helps with comfort issues. Before using this, she has a couple of saddle sores in "unfortunate" places, none since using this, and her bike rides have gotten longer in that time as well. Plus it is just an awesome product name that always gets a laugh when she mentions it to others. 10/10, will be buying again!

Now that I've used more than one brand of chamois cream, I feel ready to claim the winner in my unofficial Chamois Cream Test Challenge. Hoo Ha Ride Glide smells nice, works great, and washes off easily. I use it on every ride, even short ones. I was out and had to try a different brand and that made me realize how good this is. The texture is slightly "runny," but barely. It spreads easily and completely (apply to body AND chamois). I love the herbal smell. Fresh and invigorating.

Now here's the part that might be a little more controversial. It has tea tree, peppermint and eucalyptus oils, so it has a cooling sensation when applied. This usually subsides in awhile, but if your skin is already sensitive from a previous ride, it can be a bit more noticeable. Be sure to wash your hands after applying it because you don't want to inadvertently rub your eyes and get it in there!

On rides, it works great. I'm going to make sure to stock up so I don't run out again.

I had an allergic reaction to this, so I passed it on to a friend who uses it all the time. That said, this product works for someone! I'd suggest getting a sample at a bicycle or triathlon store to give it a shot. I have better luck with the Chamois Butt'r products.

When the weather gets warm and I am exercising, running, or biking, that means it's infection season. I just dealt with it UNTIL...I started using Hoo Ha Ride Glide. I use this EACH and EVERY time I ride. It eliminated infections completely. I don't have any issues with chafing, so I can't speak to that. It does give me the "menthol-ly" feeling but it's not bothersome to me at all. The feeling doesn't last long. Highly recommend!
