Congratulations Kevin for compiling a series of inspiring and experienced-based examples of C-level executives at work. This fast read of selected leaders' expectations before, experiences during, and reflections after their C-level tenures illustrates their ability to continuously learn from the challenges they confronted. It is refreshing to see how military academy graduates successfully apply their knowledge and leadership training later in their careers when in the private sector. Maybe Kevin has another e-book in this series that captures other venues for excellence in leadership and management talent (?)
As president of a small business, I appreciate Kevin Lewis' "Reflections from the C-Suite." I found this book to be a quick and easy read -- and extremely helpful to me as I "cross the chasm" to the next level of my business. Kevin's communication style is engaging and personable, and to the point. I appreciate the wisdom from the panel. They give great take-away/s from high level experience and lessons learned (sometimes the hard way). I feel that this book encourages me to take my business to the next level: it CAN be done!
"Reflections From the C-Suit: Opinions & Advice" by Kevin Lewis is a great read - worth keeping to review and read again and again. It is a book that makes you think. Each chapter has a focus, each comment is precise, concise, and to the point; there are deep and resonating messages that could be missed based on the brevity of the book. I highly recommend "Reflections From the C-Suit: Opinions & Advice" to all -- students through retirees.
This book is a "must read" for anyone considering a career in the C-Suite and is a "should read" for anyone who is already there. Mr. Lewis has assembled top talent for his panel and he has done a great job moderating it to bring out the essentials that apply across most corporate organizations. You'll find a great blend of personal and corporate backgrounds represented. The views blend expertise from services, financial and products industries, for profit and nonprofit organization types and venture firms as well as established entities. Basic lessons include honesty, strategy and leadership. It is a world market out there now and we need world class leaders to guide our nation's industry to success.
