I love the size and safety of it. The reflective surfaces are metal, rather than mirrored glass. Therefore, I feel that it's safe for my toddler to play with unsupervised.
What I struggle with is the clasp. Its a smooth surface clasp and can be hard to tell which side to pull up and which to pull down. Plus, it's very tight. Therefore, it's very hard to open. I've chipped my nails trying to get it open. When I have an unhappy toddler, the last thing I want to do is struggle for 2 minutes to open the thing that will make her happy. I had hoped that with use the clasp would loosen or get worn in. That hasn't happened after about ten uses.
Moreover, my toddler cannot open this on her own. So as she plays with it, she closes it, cries, and then we have to start the struggle to open it all over again. This is especially distracting when I am trying to keep her calm while I drive.
I ended up buying another one in a store that is easy to open.
This was the perfect reasonably-priced purse mirror I could have found and came in a really nice mesh black bag. I'm considering purchasing these in bulk for my wedding to give away as gifts to some of the girls!
