About the Author
Adam Jones is a professor of History & Culture in Africa at the University of Leipzig, and a member of the Executive Council of the International African Institute. He has authored or edited numerous books, articles and encyclopaedias, with a primary focus on the history of Africa before 1850.
Ben Jones won a scholarship to Oxford University to study Japanese, and after some years in Japan, returned to run a successful translation, typesetting and publishing business from his home in Kent, UK. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting and former coordinator of the ITI's Japanese Network.
