When we moved into our new home, there were 2 kittens, male and female, that would come into our backyard. Every day we gave them food and water and hoped that they would not be so skittish. Eventually, they started to trust us and allowed us to pet them. We tried to bring them indoors but they were so used to being outdoors that it just did not work out. So, we adopted them as our outdoors cats. We took them to the vet, got them spayed/neutered and their vaccinations. A year later they are still with us. The cats really needed new collars, as the ones that I purchased from our local pet store, just did not last very well. This time I decided to look on Amazon for a better collar and I was so happy to have found Rogz! I purchased a pink one for our girl and a blue one for our boy. These are the best break-away collars we have owned to date. Not to mention how stylish they are. These collars have a great break-away safety feature, that is located on the back of the clasp. There are 3 options to choose from, not to mention how easy it is to set. To determine which setting is the best, just slide the red bar to either the little cat, the medium cat or the large cat. Then put the collar together, tug on it to break it apart and this will help you determine which tension works the best. This is what we did and chose the small cat face. With this option we found that the collar would not just break-away at the slightest little tug. However, if they were to get stuck on something let’s say a fence, it would break. I would recommend trying the settings that best fit your cat. The material and stitching are made very well. We have not had a problem with any fraying or the material falling apart. It is very easy to adjust the length to either a smaller or larger size. It comes with a little bell that can be easily removed and you can even put their name tag together with or without the bell. We left the bell on so that I can hear them when they are in the backyard. We added their name and vaccination tag on a separate ring and easily attached it next to the bell ring. The glow in the dark feature is cool!! I can see them walking around the yard at night and I know that they are there. It is also reflective and that feature works very well too. The designs and flowers on the collar, are very pretty and have not worn off either. To sum up my review, these collars were a great purchase that we are very happy with. The price is better than what you would pay at a local pet store and it comes with more features. Since the cats have been wearing their collars they have not lost them once. We have 4 kittens and when they get older, we will be purchasing these collars for them as well! We have had a great experience with these collars, and I would recommend it to my fellow cat owners.
