Not only did I NOT put this treasure down (I have it on my Kindle), so Refuge 2 was my boosum buddy for a couple of magical days :). I so enjoyed learning new tid-bits of information about the developing characters and why I thought this phenomenon was occurring.
Strange happenings take place as the church bell "bongs" . . . More frights and delights to keep you up at night, wondering if it IS possible for shifting between worlds to occur. I believe it is . . . physics coming alive in between pages of a frightened town filled with characters of "fun" and differing personalities. I have my favorite "peoples", as I am sure you will too!
Five stars because I say so :) :) :) . . . Nah, the sparkes because of the ingenious plot and creative skills that have brought the town of Refuge "alive". Starting Refuge #3 tonight . . . Lighting candles and having bit of Bailey's.
Despite a continuous stream of really strong books, Jeremy Robinson/Bishop is really outdoing himself with this series. If you like to read about things that go bump in the night (or that relentlessly attack anything that moves and appear to consist of some very lethal smoky darkness) you should do yourself a favor and give this series a try!
I'm really looking forward to Book 3. Unfortunately, being an overseas customer, I have to wait for Amazon to reduce the price to a more acceptable level (which they will probably do as soon as Book 4 is published)...
We meet new characters and both new and original characters alike find out their dire situation is just getting started! If this doesn't become a TV show we will all be missing out. Until then, if you haven't read Refuge B1: Night of the Blood Sky-do that first! If you have read it you'll definitely want to read this next! Now on to book 3: Lost in the Echo....
The plot is starting to thicken as the Sheriff and several other townfolk investigate several buildings and questionable landmarks in order to get to the bottom of the mystery surrounding the town's recent chain of events and to attempt to ensure that the town and its folk are kept safe from whatever happens next.
I'll write reviews for each book as I finish reading them without adding spoilers, but jeez it's hard!
