Refuting Rabbinic Objections to Christianity & Messianic Prophecies Kindle Edition
Within Judaism over the last two millennia, any kind of spiritual message had to go through the “gate keepers”, the Orthodox Jewish Rabbis. The Rabbinic Judaism of the Orthodox comes directly from the sect of the “Pharisees”, whom Jesus rebuked:
“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites, because you shut off the kingdom of heaven from people; for you do not enter in yourselves, nor do you allow those who are entering to go in.” (Matthew 23:13)
Ever since the days of Messiah, the Rabbis have set themselves in opposition to the gospel, blocking the message of Jesus from Israel. They deliberately prevent Jewish people from hearing about the free salvation offered to them in the death and resurrection of their own Jewish Messiah. They have gone to great lengths to conceal Jesus, and keep him the best kept secret in Judaism., keeping our people in spiritual darkness.
But now the secret is out!
After almost 2000 years, Jesus, or as we call him in Hebrew, Yeshua, can no longer be hidden from the people! Today, our ministry, ONE FOR ISRAEL, reaches Jewish and Arab Israelis exactly where they are – online. We no longer need the rabbis’ permission for anything. We can go straight into the smartphones, tablets, and computers of every Israeli, sharing the saving good news of Yeshua the Messiah!
In the past, the message of the gospel came to Israel from outside our borders, delivered by people who didn’t understand our language, our culture, our heritage or our way of thinking. Today the messengers look very different. Now it is Jewish and Arab Israelis who are bringing the gospel back to where it started – back to our own people Israel. We can explain the gospel to our people in a way that makes sense to them, in our own native tongues of Hebrew and Arabic as only Israelis can, and help our people understand who Yeshua really is.
The Orthodox rabbis in Israel operate an “anti missionary” organization called Yad L'Achim, specifically to fight against the spread of the gospel among the Jewish people. This very well-funded organization, works very closely with the Minister of Interior in the Israeli government. They seek to prevent Jewish people from leaving the confines of Rabbinic Judaism by any means necessary (not always legally), and relentlessly persecute us, the Jewish believers in Jesus in Israel. With over 90% of the names, photos and addresses of all the Messianic Jews in Israel on file, Yad L’Achim began sending a magazine called “Searching” to the homes of believers in Israel back in 2014. The magazine contains objections and refutations from Orthodox rabbis about the messiahship of Jesus, the credibility of the New Testament, and trying to ridicule and destroy the belief in Jesus. This caused several Jewish believers, even including some who had been missionaries, to deny their faith in Jesus and revert to rabbinic Judaism.
Over the past five years, I decided to go over all of their magazines, books and videos, in order to answer their arguments and prove their objections false. Since 2015 we have released about 150 short videos where we share the gospel and directly refute these rabbinic objections to Jesus, New Testament and Christianity. This book is a compilation of transcripts from these videos, all in one place for your consideration. While the content of this book is based on five years of academic research, I did my best to write it in a simple, easy-to-read way, in order to keep this book as short as possible.

The book makes many allegations against famous and learned rabbis and other historical personages, but the book gives no citations to validate these comments. I note that in the Preface it is stated that the book was trying to take a "light" approach rather than making it an academic work. I decided to search validation of the references on my own which I did prior to writing this review.
First, I disagree with the book’s approach. When one is making such important allegations against people, I believe that it's important to remember Gen 12:1-3. A false allegation can be very dangerous. I think that with the level of serious statements that are made in this book that the author would want to be assured that all references could be easily validated. In fact, I did some high level searching and could NOT validate all the allegations. One that stands out is the allegation against Rabbi Eyal Karim, a candidate to be chief rabbi of the IDF. It appears that the rabbi and his supporters deny the charge and that there is enough evidence to support his refutation. It's my opinion that the book violates a basic principle found in Prov 18:17 by not providing references and citations and by not providing all the information to support another viewpoint of the allegations.
Much of the author’s basic Biblical hermeneutic is good. However, in spite of the attempt to want to write a "light" book, I feel it's a mistake to forfeit citations that could support his evidence. Thus he's entered into a lashon hara situation that opens the book up to the charges of being no more than gossip and slander. This lack of putting a reputable face on our work as Messianic believers opens us up to great criticism from our critics and can appear to validate many of the criticisms against us that we are the ones that aren't openly honest in our presentations.
I pray that in future works that the author will help me to find the sources of his information so I can in good conscience use his material to share the Messiah with those who doubt the faith presented by the Apostolic writings.
This book graciously and thoughtfully answers a multitude of serious questions one may find themselves legitimately wrestling with. If that's you I pray that He who "neither slumbers nor sleeps" will give you the courage to read this book and see for yourself that your Messiah is indeed "Him of whom Moses in the Law and the prophets wrote, Jesus of Nazareth".
May Gods face shine upon the OneforIsrael ministry, and may He who "stood among the myrtle trees that were in the ravine" stand by your side Eitan, as i'm sure you face many persecutions for preaching (the) good news to your brothers, your "kinsmen according to the flesh". Blessings my brother in Christ.
As a former Catholic, I knew all too well what it is like to have the church discourage reading the bible, but I had no idea the Jews did it, too. They haven't read Isaiah 53 in synagogue in hundreds of years!
This book is solid, but you will have to grow a little as you read it. Fortunately the Holy Spirit in you is up to the task.
I deeply admire Eitan Bar and company for their work online and now in this amazing book. Keep it up guys!
Blessings from a gentile believer half the world away in Hawaii. :-)

Thank you for your ministry at One For Israel. Thank you for another wonderful resource. May God continue to use you to spread his gospel to the Jew first and then to the gentile!

After reading this, I have to blow the ‘shofar,’ (a traditional and fun thing, not ‘legalistic!’) and say to Non Jews looking to win people in their nations for Yeshua, Our Lord Jesus Christ, that the priority for any sort of revival is our heartfelt cry for all Israel to be saved (Romans 11:26) because of Romans 1:16 and wait for it.......there are more than two or three Israeli believers in Israel that do believe! They are born-again! If we are not in Israel, we must pray Psalm 122:6-9 because this can only come true fully when Yeshua (Our Lord Jesus Christ) returns and Romans 11:26! I do not know the timeline, but I really do believe after reading this amazing book that if we are not in Israel, we are a ‘me too!’ generation! By praying for Israel, we can ask God to save your own nation too! Read this book! Give it to friends! Give it to your assembly, church, home groups! Read + understand that Yeshua, whom Christians call ‘Jesus’ in English is Fully the Jewish Messiah. Understand why only He can be! Understand that the pre-Masoretic text sages spoke of the Messiah in the ways that are described of Him in the Brit Chadashah, New Testament! Let us join with Jewish believers, as one, a whole new creation in King Messiah Yeshua (King Lord Jesus Christ) and see Israel saved, and perhaps many in your nations outside Israel too. I am convinced, after many years of wondering how, but really do believe the next ‘worldwide revival, if Our Father in Heaven will allow us the grace + mercy for it to be so, is all inclusive with Israel as the head, not the tail. I believe what we have seen so far is working from ‘the tail to the head.’ Me too, Adonaynu Yeshua! Me too, Lord Jesus! Praying for all Israel to be saved.....
I am going to buy copies of this to gift to some Leaders I know, including New York Times best sellers right now! HalleluYah!
Although I was aware of some of this material there is much that is new or which adds greater depth to my existing knowledge. This has overturned some of the things that I, a Gentile Christian theologian, was taught or assumed to be true. The book thus has currency and value beyond a specifically Jewish audience. Christians will gain a new appreciation of Jesus and His Messianic credentials.
On the other hand, I can't give five stars. There are some odd typos - not enough alone to lose a star - and the book is highly repetitive. Sometimes an argument is simply repeated when the space could have been used to clarify or expand the argument.
The chapter on Jesus and Peace makes sense from a Christian perspective, but I am not sure it fully addresses the Jewish criticism. (In fact, the issue was addressed by the early Church; they pointed to the reconciliation of human enemies as a partial fulfilment of Isaiah's vision - human "lions" becoming peaceful in Christ. They also looked for the Millenium - a period when Christ would reign on earth.)
Finally, the dating of Messiah's death - 32 CE according to the author's reading of Daniel - does not fit with Christian scholarship, which says Jesus must have died in 30 CE or possibly 33 CE. This dating is based on the New Testament and historical data, such as the date of Passover. The author does not seem to be aware of this and does not address it. I do not think the discrepancy is fatal, nevertheless, this is a weakness in the author's case.
I have studied the Bible over many decades, and have read many commentaries written y top Bible scholars, but this book, written by a Hebrew believer, brings such a fresh insight as familiar Scriptures are faithfully expounded.
Although written for Jewish readers, it should be essential reading for all Christians because it utterly demolishes the so-called Replacement Theory.
At £1.47 it is a gift that you'll never regret.
