Regatta Pack-It Waterproof Jacket For when the weather turns quickly, the easily-packed Regatta Pack-It Waterproof Jacket is perfect for quick water-proofing. The waterproof and highly breathable fabric used on the jacket is Regatta's Isolite 5000. Designed to keep you dry and comfortable in the outdoors, the fabric boasts a waterproof hydrostatic head of 5000mm, ensuring that intense rain won't penetrate the layer and keep you dry. The fabric is coated in a durable water-repellent finish which wicks moisture away when exposed to it. A steady airflow is allowed in and out of the jacket which means the body will be kept at a steady and comfortable temperature. Taped seams reduce the risk of discomfort caused by chafing within the jacket. The shoulders and arms are allowed to have a wide range of movement, meaning that you can carry on your high energy activity in the rain. An all the way up zip makes it easy to adjust depending on the weather. The integral hood is adjustable, so when the rain becomes heavier you can adjust it to keep you dry. Valuables can be stored securely in two lower pockets with hook and loop fastening. When you decide you don't need to wear the jacket any longer, it can easily be compressed and stuffed into a small space in a bag.

The fabric is incredibly thin and lightweight but also very hardwearing. I agree with other users about the pockets letting it down. I find the rear entry pocket design tends to gape open when walking. A popper or velcro strip would have been good idea. I felt mean dropping a star for this as I am so impressed with the material.
I purchased the Magma Orange colour as I fancied a change from the usual black. It is just as shown in the image and also bright enough to improve visibility when walking/running at night. I am a pretty standard medium size and this fits perfectly.
I am so impressed with the jacket that I might be taking this on my next hike, around the SW Coast Path, as it is lightweight and performs excellently.
Little tip: Following use, zip it up and pop it in the dryer on low for about 5 minutes, and it comes out like new.
Overall pleased with the coat & will use it on my next hike.
Yes this one is very lightweight and packable, these are the only positives.
I've not worn it outside nor in the rain so cannot comment on how waterproof it is.
The wrists are elasticated, however your wrist needs to be very large in the first place for the elastic to work, far too wide! Yes I am a woman buying a man's garment, but I prefer the looser fit, just not this baggy and loose around the wrists.
The old style version has zips on the pockets, the pockets on this are virtually useless as they are just open pockets to put your hands in.
The quality is shocking for the price, yes I know £15ish isn't expensive, but this is more like something you'd get for a fiver.
I was so looking forward to owning a nice bright new Regatta waterproof for all these lovely showers, but alas this was not to be, it's just such a poor quality product, it's back to the drawing board to get a good quality one from a shop I guess?!
