I really loved Anne and Jon.Read more ›
4 stars for A Measured Risk. Anne is 22, shy and has PTSD because of the accident where her husband was killed. This is the first book I've read that has dealt with PTSD from an accident like this. I appreciated the added layer to the story that this provided.
I liked that Jon saw more in Anne than her shyness, bookishness, and desire to hide from Society. In A Measure Risk, he helps her with her PTSD and introduces her to bdsm. Anne was a widow to her dead husband who told her she was frigid and he cheated indiscriminately. Jon was the first to break through and really pay attention to her.
I haven't read Trust Me, but it is a continuation of A Measured Risk, so it should be quite good.
5 stars for Perilous Risk. Rebecca was introduced in the prologue at an earlier time with Jon, prior to his meeting Anne, and Stephen cannot keep his eyes off of her. She's under Jon's protection and was his mistress. It jumps ahead and few years to after Jon has wed Anne.
I was enthralled by the mysterious, though ill, stranger. Rebecca and Stephen originally met when he was only 18, many years ago. Now Rebecca is 44. He is eight years younger and is keeping a big secret from her that keeps her from being able to trust him. There is much suspense and intrigue. She has been threatened with a false accusation of murder unless she betrays someone close to her.Read more ›
