This book is deceiving. It is more of a book that prepare students with basic study skills. It is not written with the NYS CC Regents in mind.

There are sections that tell the reader to use credible internet sources for research, and other irrelevant advice to the test.

Also, the included practice test is in no way comparable to the actual Regents. The reading comprehension passages are 1/3 of the page long, on the Regents they're multiple pages in length.

As a teacher looking for a supplemental test prep source, this was a huge disappointment and not worth $30.

The practice lessons are great for building skills, but the skills awareness pages 2-38 were
very helpful in getting my students to understand the kinds of skills that will be tested. From
there, they were able to pinpoint their own strengths and weaknesses.
