About the material:

The lids are made of tinplate.

The tinplate material has good thermal expansion and contraction. When used as a sealing material, the container is vacuum-proof and watertight. But the lid are prone to rust when the paint is worn.

Please replace the llid as soon as it gets rusty.

Method:

When you receive the mason jar lids, please first take the lid out of the seal, then gently put the lid on the jar, and finally put the seal outside the lid, and gently twist the seal

These only did about as well as the walmart brand of canning lids. I used them in a pressure canner and had 5 across 2 batches blow out on me. They were cheap so i didn't expect much but 5 is still a bit too many blowouts for me to waste money on them again.

These are cheap lids and they buckle under pressure at least 50% of the time. I only use them for sample/taste jars that get used quickly as I doubt they will store properly long time. Sad.
