About the Author
Roger describes himself as a 'process tragic' as he spends his working life talking, consulting, thinking, presenting, and writing about the analysis, innovation, improvement and management of business processes.
With his wife, Jo Tregear, he lives in Wamboin, a semi-rural area near Canberra, Australia's national capital.
At work, Roger is a Consulting Director with Leonardo Consulting (leonardo.com.au) where he is also the BPM Practice Director.
Roger enjoys delivering consulting and education assignments around the world. This work has involved many industry sectors, diverse cultures, and organization types. Consulting assignments generally involve the implementation of the 7Enablers and the Tregear Circles. He briefs executives, coaches managers, and supports project teams to develop process-based management. Many hundreds of people have attended his training courses in many countries. Roger is also a regular speaker at national and international conferences.
A longtime BPTrends contributor (bptrends.com) his column, Practical Process, led to the 2013 book of the same name. In 2011, Roger co-authored Establishing the Office of Business Process Management. He contributed a chapter in The International Handbook on Business Process Management (2010, 2015). With Paul Harmon in 2016, he co-edited Questioning BPM?, a book discussing 15 key BPM questions. In 2017 Roger will edit a new book, Process Precepts, featuring global thought leaders discussing the process of management.
