But make no mistake. Although it's simply written and presumes no previous reader knowledge, Reinventing the Entrepreneur is not just for beginners. Seasoned Internet entrepreneurs will find a goldmine of information here. What sets this book far above other books on the subject is its author's vast corporate marketing experience. So many entrepreneur-authors found their successes by happenstance. When you read their books, you'll encounter a formula that worked for one particular person with one particular product line at one particular time. Tribby, on the other hand, delivers insights gained from her monumental marketing successes at firms like Times Mirror Magazines, Forbes, Weiss Research and Early To Rise. As you read her book, you can sense the presence of a world class specialist in areas like branding and testing, and content development.
If you're going to start an Internet business and have time to read only one book, Reinventing the Entrepreneur is the one you need to buy. Follow its guidelines, and you'll be off and running.

THE FORMULA: How To Grow Your Business with Smart Online & Mobile Marketing
We all have good ideas, as is pointed out. Making them real and successful is challenging. This book provides creative effective approaches to achieving success. It is standing up well alongside the classics on personal success, motivation, and self-help. As I read, my plans and actions for success in my new endeavor improve with every page I read. I'll update when I finish. Success is of course not achieved by reading a chapter or a book, but by reading it and then DOING something with what you've learned; by assimilating the lessons of the book and applying them. The initial approach is so impressive that I felt compelled to write an initial review. To me, this is a very impressive and truly useful book.
This stuff works if you're willing to put it into application.

The only problem with this book is the title. If your dream business is selling widgets from a retail location - this book is not going to be what you need. You'll certainly learn a few things to help you market that business but really this is not for all kinds of entrepreneurs. This is for people who want to have an ONLINE publishing company of some kind. She really is walking you through making money with an online magazine/newsletter. She talks about selling advertising, finding expert panelists, jv's with affiliates to sell their products or have them sell yours and creating your own programs to sell.
She lays out a great blueprint to help you go from no idea to testing your idea to list building to revenue generation. She has some scripts and other examples to explain things along the way as well.
She even talks about milestones to hit in terms of the metrics you track, the team building, business objectives and growth.
It's an excellent guide with tips even an experienced online marketer will benefit from as long as you're interested in generating revenue from an e-zine business.
I'm a HUGE fan of her's ever since I discovered her work when she was the CEO of digital marketer and she teamed up with Ryan Deiss.
In short, this is inboxempire.com in a book. She leaves no stones left unturned and you really do, actually get the entire system in the book.
That's what impressed me. Most marketers use books to segway into their larger programs and its a never ending loop to get you to spend more money without actually giving you the full picture.
Not the case with this book. She gives it all away. How do I know? Because I also own inbox empire.
So, why 4 stars and not 5?
Because, it barely scratches the surface on how to build your list and no mention of copywriting, offers, traffic etc. So, I realize that's beyond the scope of the book, but it's still missing so that's why the 4 stars.
Definitely worth purchasing.
