The key is to use them with a paper towel. Color over the scratch or scratches, then wipe the whole thing with a paper towel immediately to get up all the excess ink. Your floor won't be as smooth as it was brand new, but the scratches are no longer noticeable.
I had a dog crate on my floor for a few months while I fostered a crazy German Shepard mix and she really scratched up the floor. You can see in this photo where I colored in one side of a plank, just to show you the difference. I'm using the "cherry" color on my floors. This floor is freshly cleaned; all those white marks are scratches.
Love these things.

As the prior reviewers stated, the lighter browns have a red tinge to them. The darker are just like a black. Very disappointed!!Published 17 months ago by tennis bummer
