"How do you teach a young person how to write a novel? It's not enough to expose them to good books--although that is essential. And they need more than simply a breakdown of plot. All writers, regardless of their age or level, need to understand the nuances of story, the layers of a character, how to put a scene together as well as how to wordsmith their stories. However, teaching a young person these elements can feel stale and overwhelming. They're driven by their passion--but they need a few rules and parameters to help them build a winning story.
Enter Gina Conroy's terrifically fun and creative writing primer for teens-Release the Novel in You! Gina has a heart for teen writers and she's put that heart into crafting a writing instruction book that doesn't feel like a writing instruction book. From its engaging and fun presentation, delightful acronyms, playful look at analyzing a story and application sections, it takes the rules out writing and turns it back into what it should be--fun! Practical and specific, it covers everything from story structure, to characterization, to the hero's journey to writing fixes--everything an intermediate writer needs to take their story from an idea on the page to a novel.
I've known Gina for years--watching her learn these very techniques, put them into action in her novels, and help teenagers dive into the world of storycrafting. Her techniques are guaranteed to put the fun back into learning how to write and to release the budding novelist in you!"

About the Author
"When I grow up I want to be a writer, and a dancer, and maybe an acrobatic too." That's what I wrote in my diary at the age of 8 1/2. Between that entry and today I grew up, studied journalism, got married, had four kids, and found my passion in fiction writing, then ballroom and swing dancing. It only took me 30 years to accomplish two out of three of my goals (I has several novels out, but being an acrobatic is on hold indefinitely.) Now I have a new dream: to show you how to reach your writing goals and release the writer in you in less time than I did. When I'm not writing or teaching, I co-host a podcast on itunes called "Teen Writers Publish" where I give my writing partner a hard time and talk about many of the craft of writing. I love to hear from future best selling novelists so visit me at ginaconroy.com

Whether you are just starting out as a writer or are multi-published, I believe that "Release The Novel In You" can be of tremendous help for struggling novelists of all ages. I cannot recommend it highly enough for anyone who dreams of writing, no matter what stage of your career you are in!
"After reading this helpful and fun course I'm starting to understand more about how to write a good book, which is my current goal for now and probably for the next few decades. I think writing is a fun and great career, and successful if you can do well. And that's just what this book teaches you to do!
The systems of P.L.A.Y, G.O.F.I.S.H, and others, make it understandable and fun. This is great for making an awesome structure for a book.
This is a great course for beginners and people who have already started learning, and I would certainly recommend. I learned a whole lot from this. I can't wait for the sequel!"
