After the blowout at Jake and Aprils wedding, Kate finds herself torn between two men that she absolutely loves, Daniel, whom shes known for about a month, and Mike whom she has a long history with. Kate is determined to enjoy life, and to find herself. When a person from their past shows up with a surprise of her own, Kate is forced to put all romantic feelings aside, and be there for them. But what this person is bringing, is huge, and no matter what happens, each scenario is going to kill Kate.
Things have been spiraling down, and its only a matter of time before Kate snaps.. All she can do now is "OWN it, ACCEPT it, EMBRACE it, and MOVE ON." But when alcohol is brought into the mix, the truth about many things are going to be unleashed, good and bad. And when Kate gets drunk on several instances, she lashes out...spilling her emotions out for everyone to see and making choices that will have serious consequences.
I love that Kate and Mike are able to bond over their deceased daughter, and through this, they start to rebuild a friendship. Yes, I'm still #TeamDaniel, FOREVER, but the raw emotions and intense sexual tension makes me feel really bad for Mike. There is NO doubt that Kate loves both men, and that they both love her.
I was very worried that the entire book was going to be a pissing match between Mike and Daniel, but I was pleased that both Mike and Daniel are able to put their feelings aside, and lean on their friendship for support, and even though they both love Kate, they want what is best for her.Read more ›
These questions will be answered and so many other secrets will be revealed. I read this book in a few hours over the weekend and I cried my eyes out so many times. The heartache that all the characters go through, whether it's due to their suffering or the suffering of their friends, is just too overwhelming. I admit that several times during this story I found myself rooting for Michael. His character has shown so much growth and he made me see why so many are on his side. His love for Kate is and will always be real and he shows it in so many ways. But, I will always be rooting for Daniel. He has proven that even though he and Kate don't have the history that she has with Michael, his love for her real is so deep, unwavering, and all encompassing.
I can see how difficult it is for Kate to make up her mind...although, I believe I already know her choice...she just doesn't want anyone to hurt and that's what's causing her to hesitate.Read more ›
This is really about how Kate is dealing with the situation that Mike, Daniel and herself are in. Not only are both men in love with her but neither intend to give up on her until they have her.
Shocking, heart wrenching, surprising and emotional all rolled into a story that left me reeling from beginning to end. I got answers to questions and added questions for the next book.
I read this book a few weeks ago and I couldn't form a complete sentence without feeling a slew of emotions.
I went into this book being 100% team Daniel and left being team Kate.
I can't wait to see where this leads and finally see the ending,

While I enjoyed the story, I did not like the explicit sexual content. I just skipped over those pages.Published 6 months ago by C. Kowachik
